This hat works up nice and quick due to the bulky yarn I used. It is warm and cozy to wear and satisfying to make. Great unisex hat for any age!

The joy of the Log Cabin style afghan is that you can make it nearly any size - pictured here is a 45” x 45” throw. And the thing that makes this version “Easy” is that it’s the yarn that does all the work!

In 2005, a group of artists in Italy built a giant 200-foot-long plushie rabbit in the countryside, and just left it there. It’s been there ever since.

So I’ve been working on a scrap blanket to use up some of this crap that’s accumulating throughout my house. So many different colors of acrylic leftover from a ton of other projects. So I am making some rather large hexagons for a blanket. Oh, and they just happen to have the imperial logo on them from Star Wars.
So, it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything. But I wanted to share this, something I made for my son for the winter holiday. He loves camo, and loves AT-AT Walkers, so this seemed like an obvious thing to make him. He loves it, though he also says that the blanket is really heavy. It seems to be helping him fall asleep faster at night. Yay for my blanket inadvertently being beneficial in a sensory way.

Frida Kahlo is one of my favorite artists! So when I stumbled upon this cute little Frida I had to put it up here! The artist can be found here.
You know the score. You've been making crochet circles the same way since I Don't Know When, but they are never quite right - the seam, having to smooth out the corners... I've been trying to find ...
Saw this picture amidst the pictures for a sweater...Good job advertisers, this made me click on the link.
Radio Silence.
I have a lot of projects that I want to make a reality, as they are just sketches in my journals, or ideas floating in my brain space. So I am taking a break from social networking and social media sites. I need to sketch more, I need to read books, I need to wander around my city and just stare at people again. I need to be bored, I need my mind to wander, I need to let my brain relax. I have to avoid being bombarded by crochet patterns and cute cat videos. I need to use my time more effectively. Efficiency is not a concern.
So until August I can be reached via phone or email. Those of you who have those currently utilize them. For those of you I don’t know as well, but may need to ask me something, email me at: [email protected]
This guide on how to bathe your cat made me laugh so hard. http://m.wikihow.com/Bathe-a-Cat
Couldn't place this color scheme, but knew it reminded me of something. Then Abram reminded me of the Adventure Time poster in Aiden's room... Yup accidentally nailed it. #whattimeisit #crochet #onthehook #wips
Fifty artists spent seven months combining yarn crafts with the décor of yesteryear to create this truly original piece: a crocheted kitchen. The cozy scene includes a table set with Thanksgiving dinner, a sink with counter space, a stove range, a refrigerator, a China cabinet and an assortment of wall decorations. Of course, each item is covered with yarn — from the salt and pepper shakers to the telephone to the lamp shade. The artists engaged a variety of techniques including knitting, crocheting, felting and weaving to achieve the masterpiece. They took some creative license and got inventive when improvising the eclectic kitchen’s details. For example, a white yarn tassel that hangs from a yarn-wrapped faucet simulates a spray of water. The project is on display at Warwick Art Gallery in England as part of the city’s Jumpers and Jazz art festival. Gallery director Karina Devine says the project is a bold take on a global trend: yarn bombing, or knitting and purling sweater-like…
Starting a new Afghan to use up all of this acrylic yarn I've got randomly leftover. Inspired by the log cabin quilting pattern. #crochet #wips #crochetedblanket #onthehook
