Okay, not to brag, but I'm kind of proud of myself. I have finished my first drafts on all of my Damangela week submissions. Thank God I have the next month to get them all typed & edited!

Y'ALL, no joke; this Damangela week has me so hyped.🥳 I have written every day except 5 & 7. Starting on Day 5 during my lunch break today, & I'm so damn excited. This has been such a helpful exercise for me as a fic writer, a seriously welcome challenge. 😅

Until now, I've never written an AU (for any fandom/pairing); I've now written 2. I've also never written Established Relationship & I have 2 outlines remaining, that I'm giddy to start on.

It'll be 7 LONG oneshots, & easily my favorite ones I've written for this pairing so far! Can't wait until August. 🤭🎉

Your latest fic has so much lore…exactly how much did you research??I get the vibe you already knew about saw but is it true?? Did you have the knowledge for the other subjects?? Or did you start from scratch???

I actually knew nothing about Saw. That & Reign of Terror were where I had to do the most research.

Looking up the zoo & the museum for the offered exhibits was pretty easy. I did a brief watch on KH game play because it had been so long since I'd seen anyone play it. Sliding Doors, Donnie Darko & all the anime mentioned were things I'd already seen, so ngl a good chunk of that was slightly biased on my own opinions.

For Saw, I watched a few YouTube videos to cover the plot of the original as well as a series overview. I did decide to watch the first one so I could take notes on what I figured would be noteworthy in the video description.

Reign of Terror took a bit longer. I was going to do a generic haunted house attraction, but I doubted my ability to come up with one from scratch that wouldn't be redundant or too short. Luckily, in the past year or so, Reign of Terror has allowed patrons to film their experience, so I probably watched about 2-3 hours worth of tour videos while taking notes.

Hope I kept the rant short, but I would say that's the majority of the lore research I did for my most recent fic.

I did just finish a 5+1 fic that I'm in the process of typing, but I was hoping to have a small project or 2 to work on in the meantime so I can continue to have fun & write on my lunch since I'm going in to the office this week.

They wouldn't be posted here (I love Tumblr but hate it as a format for fics because I be droning on & I don't think it's the best layout for that) but on AO3 in my anon collection.

Open to any and all prompts. Not big on AUs (but I actually do have a small idea cooking for one in the possible future). I'm also not great with established relationships, but I'm willing to give it a try.
