i loathe cops with every fiber of my being but this is an important distinction to make. we cant forget what we're fighting for here.

if you're going to listen to any celebrity right now, listen to john boyega. hes spoken out since the start, since way before this. hes had to deal with people telling him that him speaking out isnt right and 'kids look up to him so less swearing'. he was breaking at the protests. and the fact his career could be ruined for speaking from his own experience and basic white celebs get praise for posting a picture isn't right and if you need anything to make you realise that the treatment of black people is different from anyone else, this should be it.
HERE’S A PLAYLIST WITH ALL THE VIDEOS YOU CAN STREAM IF YOU’RE NOT ABLE TO DONATE OR UNABLE TO ATTEND A PROTEST AND WANT TO HELP!
REMEMBER TO NOT SKIP THE ADS AND TURN OFF ADBLOCK!

IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've seen a lot of posts about how lgbtqiap+ people should support the blm movement because a black trans woman gave us pride.
This is not a transaction.
Yes, we owe many things to the African-American community, but that's not why we should support blm.
We should support blm because it's the right thing to do, not because we have some debt. Even if black people had not contributed so much, support of the ongoing movements for equality should be because they're asking for basic human rights and that's a struggle we always have to get behind.
happy pride fuck the police
happy pride fuck the police
The first pride was a riot, more specifically a riot against police violence. Trans women of colour like Marsha P. Johnson paved the way for the celebration of pride today. You cannot celebrate your pride this month, or any month if you aren’t also supporting Black Lives Matter and the riots going on against police violence right now. Us white LGBTQ+ need to stand up for our black siblings and their rights, their struggles. We need to amplify their voices and show any support we can.
reminder that this blog, while not politically focused, supports BLM. bootlickers and racists aren’t welcome here, and never will be.
Reminder that Stonewall wasn’t about marriage equality. Stonewall was about police brutality. It was about systemic abuse and subordination. Stonewall was spearheaded by black trans women. As we celebrate Pride 2020, within the context of the Black Lives Matter riots, it’s imperative that we remember that.
Riots in protest of police brutality are the reason that we have more rights today. Do not forget your roots.
You can’t celebrate Pride while simultaneously condemning the Black Lives Matter riots and protests that are happening right now. Know your history.
pride month starts tomorrow, but don’t let that distract from continuing to protest and donate in support of black lives matter. here are some black lgbt funds to donate to if you are able:
center for black equity
homeless black trans woman fund
miss major’s monthly fundraising circle
pay black trans women
marsha p johnson institute
google doc full of organizations and funds
also, i know many pride events have been cancelled due to covid-19, but if you are going in public to protest or to another event, please be careful and wear a mask. covid is still going on through all this
Fuckers took my cabbages. Can’t have shit in ba sing se
Pride month starts tomorrow so I just want to remind you that if you don't support BLM and are complaining about 'riots' you are not allowed to celebrate pride month! The birth of pride was the Stonewall RIOTS, rebellion against police violence by black and brown women. There is no gay liberation without black lives. There is no trans liberation without black lives.
