Some more PangeaQuest concept art, working on how I want to stylize the backgrounds since I wasn't totally vibing with the way the line less style looked in some of my previous pieces. So I tried out a very thin and loose linework and I kind of dig it!
I've had this WIP sitting around since I originally conceived of this story around a year ago so it's nice to actually get it finished!
Some extra art of Shade and her cubs; Claw and Fang and their since dispersed brother Tusk (though he goes by a different name now)
I've been working on the first issue again and wanted to do some work on how I wanted the scenery to look like, and get some character practice in.
15 minute doodle of Baby Saber. Kick him like the football.
Some more PangeaQuest Saber and his second MeeMaw, Fish Eater the Spinosaurus
"Let's gaze lovingly at Mama" Doodle of Saber and Claw when he was the chunkiest baby imaginable. Under the cut are the two iterations of this piece featuring the characters that would be these two's predecessors;
Another extra doodle; featuring Claw, Fang and Saber's initial meeting of Pyre. Pyre is/will be the sire of Fang's two cubs, Snap and Pounce, though he lives somewhere far away by the time they're born.
He's also based on an older lion character from the same headworld Claw and Fang originated from, REALLY happy with how he came out His older design featured under the cut;
A Beautiful Family Portrait haha Another doodle featuring Pyre, now with his sister, Flame and his niece, Ember. They aren't particularly major characters, so it feels a bit silly to share all these doodles of them, but they'll feature in a special issue of their own in the future. These two are also very old characters, previously named Nusura and Penda. Under the cut are their old designs for you to enjoy;
A beautiful married couple (G7 and G10 expression meme request)
Bull of Heaven listening experience last night I was poking around their shorter length albums and projects and I'm unsure if I want to dedicate time to listening to some of their longer projects. I'll let you know if I decide to.
2,9 & 20 for the ask game!
2. Is it easier to draw someone facing left or right (or forward even)?
I would say it's easiest for me to draw someone facing left!
9. What are your file name conventions?
Usually a straight forward description of the piece itself. Ie; 'leosona doodle 5 or 6' etc etc And I think I answered 20 in an earlier ask
How about 3 and 29?
3. What ideas come from when you were little?
I have been drawing animal characters since before I gained sentience 29. Media you love, but doesn't inspire you artistically?
This is a REALLY hard one. I would say if anything there are quite a few movies and shows that don't necessarily inspire me even if I enjoyed them a lot. But even then whose to say it doesn't bleed through a bit.
ooo this is fun... 14 and 20?
Right??? 14. Any favorite motifs?
Looking at my overall body of work for this one I'd probably have to say fantastical creatures and animals engaging in the everyday mundane 20. Something everyone else finds hard to draw but you enjoy?
I don't think EVERYONE feels this way but I do enjoy the variation in Dinosaur Anatomy in particular
Weirdly Specific Artist Ask Game
Didn't see a lot of artist ask games, wanted to make a silly one.
