I cannot explain why that lingering painful feeling of getting cheated on, not once but twice, never left. That whenever someone tries to be comfortable with me, i just want to run away.

The paranoia will start.

The anxiety will resurface.

The overthinking will occur.

I don't know who to blame: is it me or the uncertainty of the situation.

This is why reassurance is such an important thing for me. Not because I am playing safe but because I want peace. This is also the reason why "let us be friends for a while" (then dropping me like a hot potato 😑) never worked for me. Just tell me straight if you want me then we'll just figure our way around it.

I don't quit on people easily or without a reason. I quit on people because the situation they give triggers a turbulence in my heart. It will leave me dysfunctional, anxious and disturbed.

And i don't deserve that anymore. I deserve more than that.
