Visual Ideas to Increase Social Media Engagement
Social media posts need visuals to make their content more engaging.
According to Marcus Ho, adding a visual element to any post increases its visibility, as well as the opportunity for engagement. There are many tools available to create visuals, so itâs certainly worth the effort.
Visual content has become a big thing in social media and marketing. Here are some stats from Buffer:
63% of social media is made up of images
54% of all Internet users have posted an original photo or video
94% more views for content with relevant images  vs. content without images
150% more retweets for tweets with images
80% of survey respondents pointed to images being âVery Importantâ or âImportantâ for their marketing optimization on social
Brain processes visuals 60,000 times faster than it does with text
There are at least 7 visual ideas that I can share with you. These are visual bullets, story board, illustrated words, diagram, memes, visual captions and comparison. I have pinned examples in a Pinterest board for easy viewing.
So the next time you think about posting anything online, use killer images.
Use one visual idea at a time. See what works for you and watch your stats grow.
I hope you find this post fun and informative.

9 Reasons Why I Love My E-Reader
At first, I was hesitant to buy an e-reader because I canât hardly steer away with physical books. Little things such as the joy of having to wait for its release, the smell of new print on paper and the feel of its spine are hard to part with.
One day, my office mate was selling her Kindle for a fraction of a price. It's a year old with few scratches  and some e-books to start with. It was great deal. It was like the universe conspired to make me happy. You can sure tell from my enthusiasm that I bought it.
I have listed 9 reasons why having an e-reader rekindled my love for the written word.
Here it is -
Itâs practical. Buying e-books is a just a few clicks away.
I can carry it anywhere and everywhere. Traveling is easy.
People wonât judge me by the way I read. Imagine peopleâs faces when youâre lugging Fifty Shades.
I can read while eating (eating which requires both hands).
There's no need for physical bookmarks.
It has a built-in dictionary.
Your entire bookshelf is at the palm of your hands. I have 163 books to date.
You can shift from one book to another.
I donât worry about sleeping on it, having folded pages and broken spine.
I remember reading Dan Brownâs Digital Fortress, Deception Point and Inferno in a week. I was on a young adult novel reading fest in 2013 which all started with John Greenâs The Fault In Our Stars. I did not stop since then. I am currently into Jonathan Safranâs Everything is Illuminated. Â I have read more books in 3 months as compared with the last 3 months of my life before Kindle.
Needless to say, I love it.
Maybe, you should get one too.
You never know, you might like it the way I do.
Stay happy!

4 Visual Ideas Using Canva
Saturday afternoon. It was too hot outside so I decided to stay in with my dog. I was tinkering, reading blog posts and thought of doing some visuals.
Here are some of my creatives:
Destiny Child was my ultimate jam during high school. I used some lines from "Survivor" for visual caption.
I can't start my day without coffee. I think I am 50% coffee, 50% human. Here is a kitty cute comparison visual of me before and after my caffeine fix.
George R. R. Martin kept on killing my favorite characters on Game of Thrones. I wish Melisandre can bring Jon back from the dead. Meanwhile, this is a meme to feed off from. I'm going to miss him.
Love here or hate her, she's here to stay. This my Taylor Swift fashion storyboard - black, grey, white and red. It's so Red Tour-ish.
Try them yourself. You'll be amazed at how your creative juices ooze when you're down and crazy with your dog.
Stay happy! :)
