Neue York dally around in the kind of synth-heavy, nightwave territory Chromatics have fast become accustomed to releasing. But there’s a sweet edge to their two tracks to date, ‘Silence’ & 'Older’, that makes their music almost as intriguing as the Big Apple itself. Despite their evident love for NYC, the trio are based out in London. 'Silence’ is the standout of their two songs; a debut doused in grandeur, with horn sections that’d slot into a record by The National. It’s all countered by 'Older’’s sleight, playful energy, built around thumping pianos; the kind recently mastered by London Grammar.

Exhibiting the depth and texture of Coexist’s tracklist coalesced into one humdrum whole, there’s a learned maturity to Older from London trio Neue York.

This gorgeous track by Neue York speaks for itself. It has to- the band have pretty much zero online presence aside than a mysterious homepage and this dream-like video.

Finishing almost before it’s had chance to start Silence leaves you immediately wanting more. The brass at the end is a particular treat. If this isn’t some clever ass PR and an exciting band in the making, I don’t know what is.
