kay makes a lot of jokes that ema doesn’t understand and is confused by, but kay usually doesn’t mind breaking stuff down for her so she can get her jokes too! ema also tries to make it clear when she’s being sarcastic in return, since kay has trouble understanding sarcasm.

aura blackquill and metis cykes are both autistic. metis canonically has trouble expressing her love for her family (and aura) in conventional manners, and instead does so through doing things for them, such as researching to help her daughter manage her own autism symptoms. aura's very very very VERY not good with people and has a hard time imagining how others feel (there's some in-game dialogue that's evidence for the last bit, but i don't have it, sorry!!)

YES I LOVE THIS!!! the way metis is described in game really screams “autistic coded character”, and aura makes a lot of sense as well!!

lana skye is autistic!! i don’t have any defintive evidence for it, but she’s very awkward in social situations, tries to avoid her issues (might be a me thing but hdjsjs), and doesn’t really look phoenix in the eyes when she talks to him. i would imagine her and edgeworth would kinda bond over it and she would be very protective of her sister!

@ that previous anon: as an autistic woman myself finding characters that i can relate to/identify with/project onto is very important to me. headcanons are fine, they aren't hurting anyone, yknow? anyway i love the idea of maya and franziska complaining about allistics together when they hang out. franziska has a lot of pent up feelings and maya wants to help franziska come out of her shell and be proud of who she is!!

oh hell yeah that’s really cute!! maya cares about franziska a lot, y’know? and franziska probably has to deal with a lot of shitty allistics at her job, and getting everything out to a friend really helps.

ema skye is autistic!!

her special interest is obviously science, she also was interested in miles edgeworth (people spins are a thing!!) and the steel samurai in her teenage years.

she frequently misses social cues, says things that are completely unrelated to the topic at hand, and infodumps about forensics constantly. she also seems disinterested when talking to others unless science/forensics is involved in aa4.

she has a sensitivity to light, which is why she wears those sunglasses (aside from detecting blood in reaction to luminol, of course!), and her labcoat is a comfort item!! she also stims by playing with her glasses, and i also like the idea of her flapping her hands, rocking, and chewing on pens, pencils, etc. (and she definitely has a chew necklace!)

hey what's up as a person who is autistic I'd really appreciate it if you could stop using a disorder that makes my life hell as a quirky UwU relatable character trait and actually take the time to research and familiarize yourself with these disorders before you start claiming that every fucking character from a series is in some way afflicted with a disorder. it isn't cute and it isn't helping anyone

do you not realize that for my headcanons i usually try to come up with actual reasons for a character to have autism just so people like you don’t fucking come for my ass? do you not realize that hey, i have autism too, and this is my way of coping so i stop hating myself and others on the spectrum? do you not fucking realize that sending asks on anon affects no one and makes you look like a coward?

like i get that autism isn’t a “fun and quirky condition uwu!”. it fucks up my life on a daily basis, and i would assume it’s done something to you to make you send these types of asks to aa blogs who post similar content. but this blog is my way of coping and i hope you find yours soon so you stop this type of behavior. because coming into someone’s blog only to send a passive-aggressive anonymous ask because you have a problem with someone’s way of accepting themselves is a really shitty way to deal with your problems.

but seriously piss off and get a hobby instead of sending anon hate.
