I love this bird
He looks like he has killed at least 12 people
These unusual cowries are part of our shell collection within Natural History. They belong to the Jennerâs or postulated cowry (Jenneria pustulata) and were collected from Mexico. You may notice that they have had their genus changed since this display label was written. However their species name derives from the notable pustule-like bumps along their shell. These sea slugs only grow the bumps as they mature, with juveniles looking rather plain!

No one is quite sure how the hellbender got its name. Â The Missouri Department of Conservation theorises:
The name âhellbenderâ probably comes from the animalâs odd look. One theory claims the hellbender was named by settlers who thought âit was a creature from hell where itâs bent on returning.â Another rendition says the undulating skin of a hellbender reminded observers of âhorrible tortures of the infernal regions.â In reality, itâs a harmless aquatic salamander.
Other names for the hellbender include âsnot otterâ, âdevil dogâ, âmud-devilâ, âgrampusâ, âAllegheny alligatorâ, âmud dogâ, âwater dogâ, and âleverian water newtâ.

Look at this frog. So serene. What do I have to do to achieve the same level of self-worth and confidence? How has this frog transcended the mire of everyday complaints?
