October 2019 | my mom's last mini-vacation She was able to cross off seeing beautiful autumn leaves in upper MN on her bucket list after living through 19 falls in MN. I have been trying to use up my film to get processed for the past 6 months, but due to COVID, I haven't been able to use my film camera 😅. I know I have some pictures of my mom on my film camera, so here are the last few pictures I took of my mom ❤ Grief is real, it comes and goes, it shows up unannounced, and will never leave. The new normal is not being able to see you, talk to you, hear you counsel and console me through the tough times, and celebrate with me on any achievements. 2019: A year filled with ups and downs, first times, faithfulness, and friendships. Creating and strengthening long-lasting, Christ-centered friendships that I am forever grateful for, even when we all graduated, we still find time to see each other again. Thank you Lord for giving me the opportunity to go my first medical mission trip and seeing your faithfulness active in people's lives and being the hands and feet of Jesus at SALT. Thank you for providing me my first job out of college and being my rock when I first heard that my mom's cancer metastasized to the brain. I'm grateful for all my SA girls and youth group as ya'lls my 2nd family. What if God is knowing exactly what’s going on in your life right now and he already prepared everything to work out for your good? What if he sees you, your struggle, your anxiety and just wants to tell you how unnecessary it is to worry about the future because he loves you and cares too much about you to leave you hanging. Would you believe him if he would write you a letter, telling you that he forgives your sin and that he already gave you everything you need? Would you believe a soft whisper in your heart, telling you that you are so precious, loved and beautiful and that the almighty God is for you and that you have his favor? Would you believe a gentle, excited thought in your mind, full of hope about the amazing plans he has for you? Because it’s the truth. That’s exactly what he says about you. You are his masterpiece and he is there for you, not for a moment forgetting you. And no matter what you’re going through, you’re growing there. You’re not lost because your shepherd knows exactly where you are. And the moment you decide to search for him and look to him, you’ll see how he cares for you.
