Gratitude and humility. All I saw today was gratitude and humility from a group of people who are passed over Ignored and forgotten. Self-serving anxiety was what I felt today until I was surrounded by gratitude and humility. The simple things, everyday things, we expect. We take for granted. We feel entitled to. They're nothing without gratitude and humility. The stories etched on their faces were intricate and deep. Every wrinkle a battle scar. Every furrow a bit of wisdom. Not life lessons but lessons on how to live. And they would be collected in vain without gratitude and humility.
