Working with @procreate has been so nice already! Iâve been drawing all day at my studio and when I get home I pick up my tablet and just continue! New Outfit of the day drawing!! In my research report I talked alot about how I want to make my work more âabstractâ. This term is nice and all but itâs too broad. So Iâm currently researching what it exactly is what I mean with this abstraction. Did a small test based on a scene from the movie âThe fallâ. Now that Iâm posting this I notice how off the colours are and I canât wait to repaint this. I am glad how this is the first time I dared to put paint directly from the tube on the paper. Today I spent the whole day at my artschool because it was an open day! Here is a very messy watercolour. I keep talking in my watercolour posts about how I am trying to make them more abstract so I thought it would be nice to examine what I mean by this. I think I am mostly going for a sort of effortless feel. The idea that it looks like something is painted with one brushstroke. I think I kinda achieved that in the background but the figure still needs work. I got the reference from @eletrikhman. My new character for the character design challenge!! The theme was ghosts and I wanted to draw the Phantom from âThe phantom of the operaâ. One of my favourite musicals about a man who secretly lives in the Opera house of Paris and falls in love with chorus girl Christine. I used to do alot of figure drawing with charcoals and big lines. Lately I have been seeing some artists do figure drawing with shapes instead of lines. That result was so much more 3D that I just had to try itđ Then I got kinda carried away and added a couple more lightsources. I actually wanted to do inktober this year because I wrote a little story for it and thought it would be cute if I did one small scene every day (Also @catzero promised me a sticker if I would finish inktober).
