“Midsummer’s Magic”

A soft melody is humming,

as the moon is shinning bright,

there is a rustling deep within the forest,

as the Fair Folk dance with delight.

Oh, how the spring of May,

causes these wee folk to sing,

as they float and as they sway,

and dance  within the Faerie Ring.

I ventured out into this magical world,

soon after the stroke of ten,

round and around they danced upon the ground,

were the tiniest of Pixies and Elfin men.

As dawn approached, their wings fluttered with glee,

and flew off in an ordered fashion,

leaving behind a ring of mushrooms wee.

Oh, how my heart will always recall the memory of the midsummer’s magic.
