“—-The force?”  Okay, that just sounded like he made it up on the spot.  But who was she to judge?  For all she knew, the force - and whatever a jedi was - was a real thing; and if they were real things, she didn’t want to do any wrong to the jedi.  “Then you must be pretty smart, if I’m right to assume that you’ve been through all that training.  I mean, you’ve done the math, obviously…”

After taking another moment to consider it, the idea of a zodiac killer - though still sounded ridiculous to her - didn’t sound too far fetched.  Stranger things have happened, right?  “—–Santa Clause?  Are you saying that if it wasn’t this Ted Cruz person, that Santa Clause would be this killer?”

          ❝ i’ve spent years of my life in a dojo learning the mental and physical power of  karate and even longer studying jedism. ❞ there was a clear amount of pride on dwight’s face. while some may have called him a dork or a geek or a nerd, he was proud of his combined cultural knowledge in order to protect both himself and those he had accepted into his inner circle come what may. on top of that, jokes were always his favourite stand point - especially those combining mathematics and george lucas references. 

          dwight lifted his head at the question, frowning at the blonde’s clear naivety about the state of the world. if someone could trust this santa fellow, then they needed to be well and truly shaken. ❝ i was always warned as a child that anyone offering presents in return for being placed on some elite list was not to be trusted. same as some fellow who climbs into a child’s room and takes their teeth right from under their sleeping heads. clearly making an army of cloned children.❞

          almost instantly, dwight turned to the other with a look of complete confusion. ❝ why wouldn’t i be serious? i don’t joke about cruciferous vegetables. only a fool would underestimate the power of a cabbage farmer. they could run me out of business in one fatal swoop and leave the world in a puddle of cabbage soup in the blink of an eye. ❞ the thought brought back a memory of a diet stiny kelly had tried in the past, leaving the entire office smelling of cabbages. ❝ the farming business is far more brutal than any hunger games. ❞

          dwight really should have just taken the hint to be quiet with his suggestions. however, he was like a bloodhound on the loose seeking justice. he’d managed to solve various crimes involving misplaced illegal substances around the workplace and had even been a part of taking witness statements for a very intense shoplifting situation. surely his experience and natural born crime fighting skills were necessary for cracking the case? clearing his throat, dwight stepped in closer, ignoring the usual social conducts of personal space. ❝ while i respect that this is your career, i feel like i need to reiterate that i’ve been a volunteer sheriff’s deputy for longer than you’ve probably had your badge. i walked out of the womb fighting crime. and i do believe that this woman may be part of mkultra... ❞ he paused for a split second, glancing over at his suspect for the crime. ❝ it’s all in the eyes. once you’ve seen it once, you can’t forget it. it’s okay, you’ll get to my level one day. not everyone was born with natural abilities. ❞
