Accidental ASMR with da boi’s obessive lickin lol
We have to listen to him do this every day and it does get annoying at times. Don’t know why he does it but he does. He’ll lick our hands for a solid 2 minutes or more if we let him (we don’t).
Here's an update about what is going on with Neville:
He's not having surgery today. The vet techs gave him some meds to knock him out so he could have x-rays taken. The surgeon then looked at the x-rays and found this: BOTH of his back knees have some degree of luxating patellas at a level 1 to level 2. And that he has Hip Dysplasia in both hips which is also minor. We didn’t know about his hips, he’s never given any indication that we could pick up on that his hips bothered him at all. The surgeon does not recommend any surgery at this time as it would be unnecessary pain and anxiety for our pup.
Some of this information directly conflicts with what the vet (not the surgeon) who examined him in December told us. That vet told us that we should go ahead and do a preventative surgery to keep his left from getting worse as it was bad while the right was fine and was not luxating. I had been confused then because I always thought it was his right not his left from previous vet visits before we moved to Nashville, but I trusted that vet. His X-rays today showed that the right knee was the worst knee (like I thought) but it still wasn't over a level 2.
So. Both hips have Hip Dysplasia. Both knees have luxating patellas. It is all in a relatively minor level. I think I am the most angry at the breeder we got Neville from. I was not knowledgable back then about the questions to ask about the dogs’ health and to be given proof of that. But I did receive verbal confirmation from her that her dogs and the pups were all healthy. I feel betrayed for myself and for my pup.
We’re going to have to keep an eye on our boy from now on to watch if he starts being bothered by any of these things. He turns 5 later this month so I’m just hoping that he’s never going to need surgery and all of us aren’t going to be put through unnecessary anxiety like this again.
Today we took Neville for a walk, this is just a very small snippet of it. Tomorrow morning he’s having corrective knee surgery to fix his luxating patella. A luxating patella is a knee cap that won’t stay in the socket and pops in and out with varying degrees of severity. Neville is a 2 out of 5 on the scale. We would appreciate it if you could keep him in your thoughts and send him some love tomorrow while this is happening.
I went through Neville’s blog today to see if the Purge his any of his pictures because Tumblr’s algorithm is...not the best to put it politely. SO BEHOLD! Neville’s “offensive” content, a blep and a car ride.
I appealed them and they were restored in literally 3 minutes, but really why were they even flagged in the first place @staff
He sleeps with his tongue out so slightly! Does anyone else’s dog do this? Let me know if my cute little weirdo isn’t alone!
Chilling next to his dad as said dad works is one of Nev’s favorite pastimes
Hi everyone!
Just in case something happens and Tumblr goes down in flames, Nev and I share an Instagram account @megandnev. Yes, there are posts about things other than Neville so I totally understand if you don’t follow me there. I am going to try and keep this blog up for as long as possible (until Tumblr possibly implodes and dies) but I wanted to give you all another avenue of seeing content from him just in case. I’m thinking about setting up a Twitter for Neville, or something. He used to have his own Instagram but I forgot that password and no longer use the email attached to it, and making another and logging in and logging out all of the time was getting obnoxious anyways. Sorry about the long-ish text post. We love you all! Thank you for your continued support of Neville. We should hopefully have cute Christmas pictures up for him at some point (if depression cooperates and loosens the reins to give me some productivity).
Here’s a bit of sunshine to brighten up these cold, rainy days!
Neville really, REALLY likes his new donut pillow
Neville loves to go on hikes in the morning and today we took him down next to the creek that runs along the trail we use. He’s one happy corg on these hikes, his little legs never hold him back. Though it does tire him out! So he hikes to work for his breakfast, eats, then goes right back to sleep. And the way he’s staring at me while his dad takes the photo 😍
I love this dog!
He thinks he’s a people
A year ago my Fiancé’s family got a Pomsky puppy. Her name is Shelby and she is so very cuddly and cute! Show her some love!
Happy Birthday to my Mom! She’s the best mom and has all the treats!
@nevillethecorgi This was his face as I came back to the cart after being in another aisle 😍
Get a load of this handsome boy!
It’s been a while since I’ve posted about Neville but we’ve been VERY busy. I got a job! I work at a dog boarding and daycare facility, and today was Neville’s second day going. He only went for a few hours while I worked because he’s still very awkward and unsure around other dogs, but he managed to stay in a room (supervised) with 8 other dogs with minimal incidents!! For his first 30 minutes, I was in the room with him but he was with another coworker of mine for the last 30. Poor boy was exhausted from all of the social interaction. I’ve been at my new job for 2 months now and I love it, though it is exhausting. Neville however, most certainly does not like me coming home smelling like 50-something dogs.
