As some of you know, I have recently turned eighteen. Being eighteen, it is now easier for me to start certain dreams of mine.

 Around February of 2017, I was hospitalized for suicide and self harm. There I began to therapeutically turn my feelings and experiences into something that could be breathtakingly beautiful. 

I will soon have a website available to purchase some of my artwork, my artwork is mostly abstract. My heart and soul is poured into each piece I create. There are various ways art can be perceived, maybe one of my pieced will tell a story of your own.

Before//After: I ended up rubbing out the portrait part of my current painting with a rag and terpentine down to the basic drawing. Too many colors and waaaay overworked. After going to a limited palette and paying more attention to gradual detail, I’m finally at a point where I’m comfortable with continuing on with the rest of the painting. Sometimes you just have to start over and in this case third time’s a charm. #oilpainting #process #beforeandafter

Tell me a little about yourself?

I’m an individual trying to find my path through history, philosophy and aesthetics. “I am especially interested in how painterly method embodies thought and how painters through out history revisit, encapsulate and transform methods by an act of reification. Essentially how method is allegorized… The allegorization of method is not mere quotation. It involves a compression of visual data to the point of effervescent release in the form of creative potential. It is an act of reification by which aesthetic substance is hermetically packaged. The creative mind swirls about this allegory, its flight sustained by the heuristic plasticity for which painters are well known. It is provisional fixity in the service of renewed imagination.” This is the first time I’ve received an anonymous question, I’m not entirely sure how to answer this so I apologize. I thought I would give tidbit of how my brain operates through some art concepts and theory that I’m currently thinking about. Feel free to ask more.
