Chuchu was part of an experiment from a currently disbanded evil organization with the sole purpose of keeping the mega evolution permanent
Chuchu’s clashing halves results in both extreme hunger, occasional body aches, and stumbling. Due to his higher intelligence however, he was able to teach himself how to speak
After being freed from the experiments, he wandered the wild for some time before deciding to sign himself up as service pokemon but his eagerness to succeed made him sloppy

His adoptive father is Asian and Cody is stupid
The original mystery gang (1st Mystery Inc) lived on the road, chasing after the rumored treasure which was an Ultra Wormhole. They found it but in the process, Fred’s parents were willing merged with Nihiligos while another made their way for the van and made contact with Cody, their poison marking the baby’s face
Cody’s eye was left severely blinded and his ear left near deaf, only saved through bone anchored hearing aids (which is not pictured as I only thought just now what type of hearing aid he’d have)
Mayor Morris was on their tail and saved Cody from the UB and renamed him and his the truth from him. He’s very supportive of Cody and Billie Jean marrying, just not happy that they eloped soon after high school and drove off without much of a goodbye
