Hi, I was wondering if you've read 'The Blairs And Their Court' by Francis Beckett and David Hencke? And if so would you recommend it? It looks a bit dramatic and interesting but that's what I thought when I first saw Paul Routledge's 'Mandy' and that wasn't great, so I don't entirely trust my own judgement.
I haven’t read it, mostly because I read the Roy Hattersley review and it was literally ‘this book is so bad it turned me into a Blairite’ (“even Macbeth had his redeeming features”). It’s also notoriously inaccurate. I know the blurb is tempting bc it describes Cherie as ‘the real brains in the partnership’ but tbh I prefer to indulge my crush with any of Anthony Seldon’s million Blair biographies
“I was the first prime minister in a hundred and sixty years to have a child while in Downing Street, which makes only makes you wonder what the other Prime Ministers were doing with their time”

i hate it when i’m dueling amicably with my homie and i best him and demand he yield and he refuses, laying bare the rivalry at the heart of our relationship
Get out
I will never get out of supporting, protecting and listening to Jewish people discussing their concerns about (and experiences of) racism, thanks!

THE DONKEY JACKET VIDEO ISNT AVAILABLE ANYMORE
Profuse thanks for pointing out this tragedy. A substitute donkey jacket video has now been found and normal service resumed.

Did you see the article from before the Red Nose Day thing that was trying to figure out what party Hugh grant is in? It comments on the tony Blair similarities
I didn’t but @bloomsburys will attest that I had him indisputably confirmed as Labour within twenty minutes of starting the film due to the presence of at least three women, a black man, and somebody with a northern accent in his Cabinet.
It’s possible that it could be a Lib-Dem government, but then I realized that would probably break credulity even for a short segment of an anthology Rom-Com

Long live all the mountains we moved I had the time of my life Fighting dragons with you
(Happy Birthday to the extremely sexy and unerringly on-brand @bloomsburys, without whom I would know 0 Taylor Swift songs and be consequently far less comprehensively equipped to understand New Labour)
Nye Bevan on suggestion that Roy Jenkins was lazy: "Lazy? Lazy? How can a boy from Abersychan who acquired an accent like that be lazy?"
ANON, MARRY ME.
I would also like everyone to know that I submitted an actual paper to the Chair of Examiners on New Labour biographies being absolute trash and I regret not a fucking thing
Guys I'm losing my mind trying to find a Dalton quote (I think) about Roy Jenkins that boiled down to 'well obvs the little shit wants to be PM, nobody from rural Wales sounds that much like the Queen without having a fuckton of ambition' and I’ve tried Google but I’m struggling to be specific enough with my search terms
Someone who is good at the economy please help
