Happy Halloween from all the homies!

Today, we carved Pac-Man themed pumpkins from the garden and had a party featuring squash sampling, monster themed songs, kale chips, and roasted squash seeds. All of this goodness followed by a viewing of our favorite show, MASH.

Get it? Halloween? Monster mash?

Hahaha.

We finally got to do some natural building today! Lynn's hobbit house needed to be fixed, so we made some cob, danced like chickens to some salsa music, and got dirty.

Today, we discovered that a couple of our chickens have been laying in a secret nest near the yurt.

Pictured above is Chris holding the culprit mama, Gertrude, as well as the FOUR eggs found in the nest.

We took a field trip to Gospel Flat Farm where we learned some pretty efficient ways of farming and ate huge-world-dominating cucumbers. I mean, look at Ellen. You know she's gonna go and conquer something.

So, here's the bad news.

A few of our beloved blue gills died a couple of days ago. (Not enough oxygen in the water.)

The good that came from this tragedy is that we got to completely redesign the aquaponics system, clean the back of the greenhouse, AND wash some gravel.

Today was the legendary Bolinas Food Festival and we had a booth! We showcased our multi-talented farm by doing a lemon verbena distillation that made everyone giddy as well as let people try our very pretty hydrosols and lavender-infused honey.

There was also lots of delicious food from the other booths like falafel that was served from two sweet ladies in a boat and some Norwegian waffles that seduced us all day from across the room.

Today was also the first time that The Ellen Face was ever captured on camera. Let's take one more look, shall we?
