J’ai découvert Cheelee en scrollant sans but sur Reddit au beau milieu de la nuit — comme commencent la plupart des mauvaises décisions. Tu gagnes de l’argent Monopoly pour te donner l’illusion de progresser, mais ça reste bloqué.

Certains trucs marchaient.

Par exemple, j’ai tenté le programme de parrainage. J’ai envoyé le lien à quelques amis, l’un d’eux s’est inscrit et a acheté des lunettes, donc j’ai eu un petit bonus. Ça allait. Procreate

Procreate — главный мой источник дохода. Ну, точнее, это приложение для рисования на iPad, где я создаю все свои работы. Купив его и стилус однажды, я провожу в нем минимум 6 часов в день. Радует комфортный интерфейс, эффективный движок и огромное количество инструментов и кистей, а также возможность создавать простенькие анимации. 

Короче, если бы не Procreate, я бы не смог так быстро и легко воплощать свои идеи в жизнь. Да, и если кто-то спросит, чем занимаюсь на выходных — "рисую в Procreate" но уже не дома. Размер айпада подстегивает носить его и создавать что-то везде. 

Calm

Calm — это приложение для релаксации. Я начал использовать его, когда понял, что не могу уснуть при перегрузе, как в песне Pennyroyal Tea группы Nirvana — "I'm so tired I can't sleep". Чтобы не ловить вайбы этих ребят еще сильнее, я решил практиковать медитации.

Особенно мне понравились опции со звуками природы. Также я заценил истории для сна — они реально работают. Особенно, когда их читает Гарри Стайлс или Мэтью МакКонахи. Это такой угар!

Why Was I Banned from Cheelee? 🤔

Hey! I've been seriously into SocialFi for the past year. SocialFi mixes social networks and crypto, which is super dope 'cause you can make money just by chilling online and doing your usual stuff. I found Cheelee in one of my reviews of similar platforms. Of course, I couldn't pass it up and had to try it out. Everything was fire, but then I got banned… 😱

First Impressions of Cheelee

Cheelee’s crazy bright design hooked me right away. I downloaded the app and signed up, then went through the onboarding: they quickly showed me the ropes. I got my first pair of digital glasses, Starting, right away. These bad boys are for earning money by watching vids. You get cash every minute in boxes! Each pair of glasses has different monetization times. For example, Starting glasses give you only 5 minutes per day.

But not everything was lit in Cheelee: the content was kinda meh. Even though the feed adjusts based on your likes, the recommendations were still pretty basic.

First Earnings

I started watching videos with the Starting glasses, which work for only three days. In that time, I earned a couple of bucks in LEE, the platform's cryptocurrency, but then I found out I couldn't withdraw it. It was like the meme "expectation vs reality." 😩 But hey, that's the SocialFi game: sometimes you gotta pay to win, so I decided to keep going and prepare to drop some cash.

Renting Lite Glasses

Next, I decided not to buy glasses right away but to try the free Lite glasses rental. I hit up support, and they quickly hooked me up with a pair. Over four weeks with the Lite glasses, I earned about $69. I was stoked until I remembered the withdrawal conditions: there's an 85% commission on rentals. 😭 So, to make real bank, I had to buy glasses.

Buying Smart Glasses

I didn't wanna go all out, so I bought the Smart glasses for $10. I picked the Lucky strategy. I started watching content for 20 minutes a day. In two weeks, I earned about $25, which seemed pretty legit. Everything was going great until—bam!—my account got banned… 😵

Sudden Ban and How I Dealt with It

When I got banned, I was shook, like that confused cat meme. 😿 I wanted to rage, but I took a deep breath and wrote to customer support. They asked for my account ID and the email I used to register.

The support team quickly unbanned me, explaining it was a mistake by the anti-fraud system. I felt better, but it would've been awesome if they compensated me for the hassle. And then I started thinking: why did they think I was a bot?

Why Was I Mistaken for a Bot?

I began to analyze why my account might have seemed sus. Cheelee has an anti-fraud system that automatically blocks sketchy activity. Here are a few reasons you might get banned:

Multiple accounts on one device lead to an 85% commission and potential ban.

Frequent wallet changes and exceeding the limit: you can change it only three times.

Overly active daily viewing: apparently, only a bot could watch non-stop.

Using auto-viewing programs like swipers and clickers quickly get detected by AI and lead to a ban.

I think my activity might have seemed too high for a regular user, which triggered the system. I was watching the feed every day for the full monetization time. Next time, I'll try to be more careful. 🤷‍♂️

Despite the ban, I'm still pretty happy with the platform. It's dope that there's a SocialFi app that actually works.

Iteven reminds me of P2E, but, being a social network and getting revenue from advertisers, Cheelee is different from sich titles.

While TikTok does have creator monetization programs, the average user's engagement does not translate to personal rewards in the same direct manner as on Cheelee. This is how I get its concept.

So, why can't Cheelee be directly compared to TikTok? Because their core philosophies and user experiences differ . TikTok is a widely recognized powerhouse of  viral trends, emphasizing creator exposure. 

Cheelee, while it also values engaging content, offers a distinct model focused on rewarding users for their engagement. This is what procrastinators like me do need not to feel guilty for the time spent online! also, with no DMs at the audience’s disposal, it shapes another type of community.  In other words, TikTok is a popular social network with conventional mechanics, while Cheelee offers sth new. So, I always searched for ways to kinda get compensated for its waste. If I was reading something, I should be ready to use the acquired knowledge practically. If I was meeting someone, it would be very emotional. You know. I want to live to the fullest. And this is why I wasn’t much into social networks.

Social networks literally make the most of the attention economy. They attract investors and advertisers and get money from them thanks to the time users spend on platforms. The more sources they give to social networks, the more financially valuable these networks become. However, the rich platforms monopolize their revenues without sharing anything with users but content. For me, this approach is unfair and, hopefully, some people happen to agree with me. A couple of years ago some enthusiasts launched a social network that pays users for their attention. Named Chelee, it declared to give 70% of its ad revenues to the audience.

I was intrigued and decided to test the app. Its mechanics supposed that the more time you spend watching content posted by other users, the higher your revenues. Cheelee calculates it. And, to help users track their progress (or for some other reasons, I don’t know exactly), it shows how many minutes you have already spent during the day with the Attention reduction. Also, this parameter kinda limits how much time per day you can watch and get paid for it. Otherwise, crazy content fans would be online for 24 hours, I’m sure. Attention is replenished every 24 hours and can be increased significantly with new glasses bought.

Yes, Cheelee offers users digital glasses as a game asset that lets them get money while watching the feed. The first ones, Starting, are given for free. To boost profits, you can get other glasses via the marketplace. I haven’t tried the option myself but decided to analyze reviews.
