There are times when we pray about something maybe once or twice, even three times, and if we don’t receive an answer, then we give up. But Jesus taught His disciples “that they should always pray and not give up” (Luke 18:1) It may be that you have asked God for something in your life that He wants to do. Just because it has not happened yet does not mean that it will never happen. God’s delays are not necessarily His denials. Clearly, there are some prayers the devil will oppose more than others. For example, when you pray for someone’s salvation, you need to know that it is a spiritual battle. The victory will come. Maybe you have been praying about something and there has not been an answer, only disappointments. But disappointment can be His appointment. So don’t give up.
you can be both, a work of art and a work in progress.

Acts 18:9
“All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.
No one calls on your name or strives to lay hold of you; for you have hidden your face from us and have given us over to our sins.
Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.
Do not be angry beyond measure, Lord; do not remember our sins forever. Oh, look on us, we pray, for we are all your people.” Isaiah 64:6-8
Even When It Hurts - Hillsong UNITED
Unnecessary pain comes from relying on our expectations rather than trusting His promises. We want our own outcome that we blame God for what He withholds, without knowing that goodness overflows in whatever He refuse to give.

note to self: you are an intelligent woman. forgive yourself for all the times you were stupid and naive. you are a woman of heart. forgive yourself for the times you were soft when you should have been hard.
I didn’t want to love God for what He could do for me. I wanted to love God for who He is. To worship Him because He is worthy and not because i expected something in return.

Having faith is not about making sense; it’s about making your heart open and available to the voice of God.
