Before You Think We Can’t Do This...
In 1954, Roger Bannister broke the world record and ran the mile in under 4 minutes.
In the whole of the history of the human species, no one had been able to do that. It had been considered impossible - beyond the physical limits of the human body. Year after year, runners had come closer and closer but no-one was able to break the 4-minute barrier.
Not only did Bannister practice and train, he constantly rehearsed the event in his mind until he truly believed that he could do it. Even though nobody before had been able.
Yet, within a year of Bannister breaking this psychological barrier, 37 runners did it, and one year later another 300 runners had done it! Belief holds us back more than anything else - far more than fear; more, even, than physical constraints.
To shift Paradigms we must firstly believe…

While many retailers were flooding the market with 'free shipping' and other incentives Patagonia publish the 'don't buy this jacket' campaign!
"this jacket comes with an environmental cost higher than its price."
You won't find many businesses offering statements such as this - that's just one of the reasons we love Patagonia!
awesome to see a world class rider - Robbie McEwen - having a hit out at the local criterium!
