There are a few 3DMVs wherein the members of Leo/need use different instruments to their regular ones, or in the case of Ichika, don't use an instrument at all. The first time this happens is in Time Machine, where Saki uses a grand piano instead of her keyboard, since the song doesn't need the latter.

In Ikanaide, Saki uses the grand piano again, while Miku switches out her electric guitar for an acoustic one, due to the song requiring those two instruments. Ichika doesn't use her guitar in this song, because of the song only needing one guitarist. Instead, she holds a microphone and dances a bit while she sings.

In Hello, Worker, Ichika drops the guitar for a second time, solely performing as a vocalist while Luka takes her place as guitarist. In this 3DMV, Ichika walks around while she sings, possibly as a nod to the Project DIVA MV.

Shiho is always seen playing the same bass because there isn't much need for her to change it. Likewise, Honami always uses the same drumkit.

Saki uses a keytar in Regulus, so that she can move around the stage with Ichika, Shiho and KAITO. This may also be because of the different stage layout placing Honami in the centre, rather than at the back on stage right with Saki to her left as they are normally positioned.

Saki's keytar has since been used relatively frequently, being used in the 3DMVs for Tokyo Teddy Bear, Toumei Elegy, Odoryanse, and Kimi ga Tobioriru no Naraba.

Most recently it was used in the 3DMV for Hoshi ni Ichiban Chikai Basho. This MV also marks the return of an acoustic guitar being used, this time by Ichika instead of a virtual singer. Len also uses a different guitar to his usual model.

The 3DMV for Raspberry*Monster sees Saki not using a keyboard at all due to the song not having any keyboard or piano parts. Instead she takes the role of lead vocalist alongside Ichika. This is the first time a member has completely changed position in the band for a song.

Things about April Fools 2025 that make me insane:

Leo/need never recovered from the divorce. Saki became a hero so she could try and bring everyone together, only for everyone else to become villains (they don't know how to break the news to her)

None of the canon units ever formed, so a lot of these people don't know each other like in canon

Ena became a villain because she got into a fight with Akito while he was in his hero persona and everyone assumed she was one and Rui keeps blowing the whole thing out of proportion to boost her reputation

An knows about Nagi's death???? And because she does this is probably why she kept switching between being a hero and a villain because without music she felt aimless???????????? <- you HAVE to read Light Up The Fire to understand what I'm talking about here it's insane

Most of the villain units just get up to light mischief and public speeches (meaning most conflict with heroes is just slap-fighting lol) while CBNEL commits actual property destruction

Mafuyu's wish as a villain was to blow up the earth so she be came a hero so that wouldn't happen

The heroes are all like, part of an official legal organization or smth along those lines. From what I can tell, their identities as civilians are public and are tied to their hero personas. Insane comparison, but they function in a similar way as heroes from MHA

Adding onto the previous point, FOW are more like vigilantes than proper, legal heroes (they still show up to the union meetings)
