hello, i'm tobi / rin! you will never know my gender so i go by they/them online. i'm 17 as of 2025 :3

my main languages are english (not my first language though) & mandarin chinese. i'm also currently learning japanese :3

i like to draw (mostly traditionally though because of lack of time •́⁠ ⁠ ⁠‿⁠ ⁠,⁠•̀...) but i also like to do graphic design, play my fave video games and learn how to code! here are some of my interests:

- genshin impact (though i haven't been playing as often)

- honkai: star rail

- project sekai (i looove nene she's adorable)

- cookie run: kingdom

- pompompurin. yes. pompompurin

- koupenchan

- the apothecary diaries

- etc. (there's more but i am particularly more interested in the stuff listed above)

i haven't been drawing much completed art recently but i wanted to make this post dedicated to nene, happy birthday to my daughter ueueue

no new art for the time being. however i wanted to share this - one of my favourite ghibli soundtracks. it reminds me of a bittersweet time of my life. this soundtrack has helped me to picture how beautiful the world is, even if reality may be different. i remember my dear friend playing this song during a talent show in my school in a few years ago. although i have heard this song before that, i was even more mesmerised after hearing it once again. the piano notes echoing through the hallways somehow created cascading stairs of musical notes and i felt like i was floating on top, as i stood on the second floor of the school. i was crying for some reason before i heard it, and the sound of music somehow vaporised my tears a little. i hated playing the piano because i was forced to, for so many years. but at this moment, i wanted to play again.
