Head Canon idea: the Captain in Far Cry New Dawn is the younger sibling (like if the Rook was 26 in FC5, the Cap was 14 - kinda like how Joseph was 42 and John was 32 in FC5) and they never knew what happened to their older sibling after the Collapse and them going to Hope County wasn’t just to help Prosperity but also them trying to find what’s left of their family

That would’ve been so cool! I can imagine how Rook would’ve reacted upon seeing their younger sibling again at the gates of New Eden for the first time. (Funny how in reality they shook their head and closed the door on them 😂) And Cap getting to learn about what happened to Rook during the collapse. Would make Cap joining New Eden even more personal, considering their family is there.
