For those of you who don't know, I first got my start in the entertainment industry by interning at Will Smith's production company, Overbrook Entertainment, when I first moved to LA. I've learned so much from working at that company and I even had the the amazing opportunity to meet him several times. The man has so much wisdom and you can tell that he does personal development.

One of his key lessons that he shares is:

"How far you go in life is determined by the top five people you spend the most time with."

Now, as I reflect on this quote, I've realized how much of an impact this has had on my life. I've always been a big dreamer growing up. I've always wanted more and wanted to accomplish big things... but now I realize how difficult it is to achieve this when the top five people that I spend the most time with are satisfied with a life of mediocrity.

Now don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with living a life of mediocrity. I actually have nothing against it. I just find myself wanting more and for me to be able to do so, I need to associate with others who want more out of life.
