Sometimes I set myself a challenge to see how many words I can write in an hour. On average, I can write about 1,000 – 1,200 words in an hour – less if I get distracted, and more if I’m really ‘in the zone’.
Here are 7 Tricks To Write Faster that may help you get your word count up, especially if you’re doing NaNoWriMo or pushing to finish your novel.

Writing Tip March 23rd
There’s a vending machine in France that gives out free short stories instead of junk food. French publishing company Short Édition’s machines print out 1, 3, and 5-minute stories at the touch of a button so people will be encouraged to enrich their minds while waiting around instead of mindlessly scrolling through social media on their phones. Useful if this is how you think, though often I don’t see the outline until after the draft is written, because after awhile one just internalize this kind of stuff from all the media one ingests. Point is, use if helpful, ignore if not.
