Ever since everything had gone south with Mysterio after they’d gotten back from the class trip, MJ knew that Peter had to get far away and fast. Tony Stark was dead and the other Avengers were proving to be little to no help, even SHIELD, for whatever involvement Fury had with helping in Europe, wasn’t doing anything. It was frustrating and had Michelle worried sick about her boyfriend.
When he heard someone enter the classroom, she didn’t look up from her book until the guy said her name. The eyes of everyone in the room seemed to go to her and she merely gave them all a pointed glare in order to get them to mind their own business for the moment before standing up and grabbing her backpack, heading out of the classroom and down the hall somewhat before speaking.
“So, are you here to tell me where Peter is or are you here to kill me?” she asked almost casually. “You comin’ here talking about a Stark internship either means you’re legit and here to help or you’re one of Beck’s goons and you’re here to kill me or use me to get to Spider-Man, which, by the way won’t work.”
Nick was glad she immediately seemed to grasp the situation. His face was naturally not as well known as his fathers with his company being more behind the scenes, just as himself, but some kids seemed to know it, probably some die-hard-fans of his dads. But that didn’t matter now. What mattered was to talk to Michelle, tell her where Peter was and get her there perhaps.
“I wouldn’t touch Beck with a ten-foot pole. That guy is unhinged, was unhinged even before Tony fired him.” He knew it intimately because he had been around SI back then already. Back then he was officially the sole heir to the company, well Stark heir that was. Now things looked very different and he was glad of it. He was, as it stood, the heir of the company with Pepper still running it. Should something happen to her, he’d step in until Morgan was old enough, should she want it. In any case large portions of the company belonged to her.
“He’s in a safe house belonging to Stark Medical.” He said. “To be fair he’s not exactly in a good mental state, so I was hoping you’d come with me to visit him. Uh, actually I shoudl introduce myself first. I’m Nick Stark.”
