While he loved the new bike his step-dad had given him, Nicky couldn’t really ignore the practicality of a car. Specifically a mini-van, which was all for Felicity’s safety. He didn’t think he’d exactly get dad of the year if he attached a side car and strapped her in. Nicky was leaning against said mini-van, anxiously awaiting Mel to come out of the airport. He didn’t know how to react when she told him she wanted to come back to Charming-- he’d missed her so much and was more than ready to have her in his arms again, but Nicky now knew better than to get his hopes up.
“Hey, hot shot.” He grinned when he caught her sight, standing upright to pull her into a gentle hug. “How was the flight? Are you starving or did they give you a steady diet of peanuts?” Nicky teased lightly, offering to take her luggage and put it in the back of the van. He felt nervous just like the first time he saw her-- it’d been two years since she unexpectedly left. Nicky didn’t really know what to say or how to act.
