Breathing indifferently
I sat down and chose to focus on the birds chirping softly into the wind
I cradled my thoughts & pain while focusing on the bitter cold that invaded my body
I knew I wasn’t here completely, how could I?
The miraculous colors of green pastures invaded my eyes,
How could they be so immaculate?
Thunderclouds rolled in, obscuring my sight from the warmth of the sun.
I found myself in a deep peace,
Nature cradled my toxicity of anxiety that crippled me
It slowly left my body.
I looked around and found my blessings before me in the beauty of the world.
I relished in the thought that I could finally calm my storm.
I breathed in deeply, exhausted from the damage that had incurred.
Revelations have always overwhelmed me,
Yet I find my balance in the serenerity before the storm.
