ā straw, please !Ā ā long straps of assorted colors are wrapped around breeās chipped-nail-polish clad hands. the work load was light that day, due to it almost being the weekend, so there were five dogs walking in front of the petite girl, three leashes in one hand, two in the other. since the weekends were easy, relaxing even, bree felt it was a day meant for a friend ⦠was that friend beside her to be her coffee girl ? absolutely. and she shamelessly parted her lips waiting for the iced coffee to be within her grasp.Ā ā i wonder how people couldnāt absolutely fucking love walking their doggos. i mean, i get paid to go for a walk ? with dogs ? two of my favorite things ā¦Ā ā there wereĀ downsides, such as picking up poop, being dragged, dealing with the barking. but the dog whisperer within her found its place in the world. the fanny pack wrapped around her waist held a speaker, lightly playing some upbeat pop-rock.Ā ā nico, we could start our own dog-walking empire. i can see it now ā¦Ā ā normally, for dramatic effect she would arch her arm out gracefully, but since her hands were occupied, she simply smiled in her friendās direction.Ā
Ā Ā Ā ā--- just the straw ??ā nico questioned, stalling for a good few seconds before lifting the coffee cup up, close enough for bree to reach. on a better day, she would have gone a little bit further with teasing, but today ?? today she felt exhausted, even more than she usually did. she supposed that this is exactly what the consequences of pulling an unhealthy amount of all-nighters did to her body, so she couldnāt exactly complain much. being so open about it, especially around someone who had only seen the chipper side of her was out the question. nico didnāt want the other woman to think sheās miserable, even though it was the truth, most of the time. a smile reached her features, a gentle laughter spilling from her lips soon followed,Ā āi donāt know, man. you would think people get dogs because they want to give them all the love and attention they can muster, but iām afraid thatās just a cover-up for something much, much deeper,ā was she speaking from her experience ?? well, she didnāt have a pet of her own yet, but she supposed that would be the case with her,Ā āa lot of them think they can manage it, but... work comes up, taking over all the time they had for for the animals. iād say, give some of those people the benefit of the doubt -- maybe theyāre not all as irresponsible as you think they are ?? i feel like they still want all the best for them, and try to make it possible.ā leave it up for nico to answer a seemingly lighthearted question in an overly complicated fashion. that seemed to be her thing, and god only knows if she could ever fight it.Ā
Ā Ā Ā she lifted her shoulders up only to drop them a moment after, looking over at bree once more,Ā āi take that you would be the muscle, and i would be the... brain of this operation ?? or, i dunno, the money ?? the sponsor ?? iām afraid that i wouldnāt be the best partner, even if i come from a family of businessmen and med-tech geniuses, really...ā she responded, trailing off as she scrunched up her nose at the mere mention of her family -- she should not have opened that box, but well... it was her fault for bringing them up like that.Ā āhowever, i could still see it working -- i mean, weāre both cute as hell, and i am sure that people would end up trusting us with everything, not only their dogs. i say, letās start scheming now, and see how and where it goes !!ā
