why do you love watching Legacies?

Just curious. I wasn’t following The Vampire Diaries and The Originals but there’s just something that pulls me to binge Legacies. I love watching this new series (from a non-TVD/TO fan) bcoz I think it has similarities to Harry Potter - the setting, the characters. I love witches and spells! I also love the humor at some point. Yes, I’m talking to you, Lizzie - zip it smurfette - that was so funny! I also remembered the vibe in Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows at the last alternate universe in 1x10 - the resistance and post-apocalyptic setting. Any thoughts?
