Why this isn't over: An examination of a new tournament/battle system

This isn’t solely my idea, by the way - I’m just going to be making a few points and providing you the posts I was reading on the charter boards.

So we all have paid attention that this isn’t done. There is definitely more to be had at the obelisk in Tyrannia, and what does that mean exactly? A continuation of the story? More fighting? But for what?

Well, I think that we’ll be doing a semi-permanent (if not completely permanent) battle royale sort of thing. It might be weekly, it might be bi-weekly, it might be monthly. But based on the wording in the news and from the Oracle, the new Tyrannian Plateau map, and the way the faction-specific avatar/theme/boons work, here’s why this is a huge possibility.
