!!! Please I beg if you see this please reconsider firing off fireworks on new years eve, or any other day !!! So many people and animals get hurt every single year because of fireworks. Poor handling of dangerous explosive materials leads to injuries, lifelong disability or heck even death. Animals will sometimes get heart attacks, crash into things, or die by other means on new years eve due to fireworks. Not only that but they're absolutely horrible for the environment in multiple ways!!! Fireworks are an active fire hazard to housing and forests. Tradition is beautiful, but is it beautiful when it harms the people, animals and earth we should protect? I beg of you, if you see this, if you have family or loved ones planning to set of fireworks please try to explain to them why fireworks negatively impact literally every living organism on this earth. CO2 emissions, among other bad gasses, the panicked animals, the amount of people who get injured... Not to speak of the people who use fireworks irresponsibly indoors or steal them to set off at schools!! Fireworks are classified as hazardous for good reason. Send off one less firework, save a life.

i feel like the tumblr community for alterhuman has become a lot more “domesticated” or domestic-animals focused. don’t get me wrong, i relate to some of these thing but to me the main appeal of being an animal is being free! tags like #alterhuman are becoming increasingly filled with “im so puppy” memes instead of serious conversations which is why i came to tumblr in the first place!

I swear medical healthcare is so fucking goofy in the worst ways possible. "Oh you got diagnosed with this half a year ago…? Too bad… new screening time and I’ve decided that ever since you went on antidepressants you’ve been cured of all your symptoms of depression even though coming off the medication makes you want to kill yourself~!" Bitch what…???? I’m still reliant on some flimsy ass drugs to not be an active suicide risk… which in fact has stopped its functionality and the rebound depression is hitting hard and I desperately need a dosage increase🙂

I just want to angrily mention that mental illness can very much also be a disability, not all disabilities are visible nor are all disabilities physical. Anything that disrupts your ability to live your life as an able person, could be counted as a disability. Let's not meme on mental illness okay?? this is only making it so it's harder for mentally ill people to get the proper help they need. Including accommodations in school and work places. In a lot of places it isn't even possible for mentally ill people to get any sort of accommodation and btww!! Not all mental illnesses are even curable, and non of them have miracle cures. Idfk how anyone could view being on a load of medications, going to therapy, missing school or work often because of said therapy or simply having a really garbage day where neither brain nor body wants to coexist let alone function to the point where simply brushing teeth or eating can feel like the hardest chore on earth. Btw mental illness doesn't even look a specific ass way, someone can be overcompensating to look mentally sound and "normal" to the public but in reality have been bed rotting for a month straight. Conclusion? Be kind to people, especially people who are fighting a lot of the same battles as you are, even if that isn't all of them because we're all as different as night and day, however that does not invalidate our experiences. - Sincerely autistic cat with several mental illnesses and very much diagnosed thank you very much, now that you have my "credentials" you don't even have a right to in the first place but for some reason I feel the need to justify myself for saying the truth as it is.
