Nonplussed, Kazan merely lifts a brow at Mikaela’s attempt to comfort him. He knew he shouldn’t have acted upon impulse and taken her to bed, but he supposes she’s not worst for wear even after he murders her violently every time he can during the trials.

“…I’ll let you try while I get everything together to wash up.”

Gently, he takes her hand off his massive bicep and lays it on the futon. Pushing himself off the bed, he cracks his neck and loosely puts his kimono back on as he goes to gather the oils and towels.

My he is a sight, she can’t help but watch him as he rises and wraps himself in his kimono. Taking a deep breath, she finally pushes herself up and makes a true attempt to stand.

Almost at once her legs give out and she hits the floor with a thud. But this does not deter her. Slowly, she gets up and stands. Exhaling, she follows after him; putting extra emphasis on her steps.

One of Mikaela’s love languages is gift giving.

He fully intended to demand attention from her, but his attention was caught by the sigils on the pages she read, a small huff of air escaping him when he did. He couldn't read of of course, but a couple of the sigils were similar to those he was used to so he couldn't help but be curious about them.
