This environment that the Tyrant now found himself in - it was wholly unfamiliar. In all of his trainings, all of his debriefings, he’d never see anywhere in Raccoon City with a layout like this. Not in brief passing glimpses. Not on any maps. Any other mutant might be left disoriented, relying on the orders of a chip left in its head by Umbrella to guide it through this strange new place. But not Nemesis. No, he didn’t need such trivial help. He was built to be more intelligent, more adaptive. He set his frustration aside and set to work orienting himself to this new environment.
He passed by with loud, thundering footsteps. They rattled windows, shook the earth. His low, rumbling breaths were reminiscent of a predator surveying its territory and his gaze wasn’t much different. He scouted the area thoroughly, familiarizing himself with buildings, landmarks, structures, and the scents of other living things lurking about just out of sight. He breathed deeply, trying to see if any of them were familiar. No such luck. Well, maybe they weren’t his target but as long as they stayed out of his way he supposed they could ignored.
He paused suddenly, catching sight of one of the sources. Definitely not his target. It didn’t look a thing like any of them. It barely even looked human. It didn’t even look like a mutant even. And against the Tyrant’s instilled reasoning, he found himself feeling… curious. And he made his approach to study the oddity.
