This one confused me a bit at first, because it’s not called Last Stand but “Last Strength”. Oh well, maybe heroicspirit will fix it when he sees this, or maybe he knows better than how other people translated it xD Certainly inferior to Emiya and Sword of Promised Victory, but still a cool song.

To make up for all the wait, I will post the original tracks which got a remake during the last episode of FSN:UBW. They’re from the Visual Novel and just awesome, so this will hopefully please people like me who are impatiently waiting for the anime-version, and maybe inspire new guys and girls to check out these awesome tracks (and maybe start playing the Visual Novel? One can dream at least :D). Of course I will start with Emiya and continue from there.

P.S: I’m using the pictures heroicspirit made, so that people know the specific scene from last episode and can compare them with the original version if they want to. A big thanks to heroicspirit for finding and naming all of them, I probably would’ve missed one at least!

For all those Emiya Track fans out there (like me) I gathered and put together all the small bits we got of the “Emiya” song in the new UBW anime so far. Obviously voices etc still exist, but at least you can listen to an almost 4 minutes long version of the new Emiya track ;)

Gilgamesh and Dolphins

Two things I want to talk about.

1. I’ve seen some complaints about how Gilgamesh behaves in Fate/Stay Night UBW. It’s not completely obvious but please everyone, remember what Gil said. He bathed in the mud of pure evil energy. Like he explained, the contents of the Grail have been corrupted since a long time ago (since the 3rd Grail War to be precise, but more on that in Heavens Feel) and the guy remained in a swirling mass of evil thoughts for hours. Gilgamesh later on states that pretty much every Servant would’ve went mad in the mud, but he’s “so great” (your typical Gilgamesh right here) that he managed to stay sane. Well no he didn’t, the Grail’s content did in fact influence him and drove him partly insane. Believe me when I say that you all will understand this a lot better once you’ve seen Heavens Feel, because that’s where a lot about the Grail and the Grail Wars get explained. 

2. It’s not sex or Dolphins next episode, please D: Another dumb meme that surfaced from the old Deen anime. It’s either implied sex next week (seems very unlikely looking at the preview) or Rin will sacrifice her Magic Crest to give Shirou more Prana/Mana, to put it simply. I mean the Magic Crest we saw when she attacked Shirou at school. It’s the accumulated magic of generations of Magi, always handed down to the successor. Imagine guys, she’s willing to sacrifice the magic her ancestors gathered over hundreds of years to help Shirou. It has exactly that much meaning, so please don’t reduce it to Dolphins, even if fish (in the Visual Novel it’s fish) will probably be seen as a part of Rin’s inner world. In fact I think sacrificing her Magic Crest has a way bigger meaning and makes more sense, so I’m hoping they will stick to that.

Rather tired of people bringing up the same old meme again and again. Not like anyone can prevent it at this point and I guess some people actually know better, but it makes me sad if people get the wrong impression because of this one silly quote.

What Shirou says is : “People die if they are killed…. At least that’s how it is supposed to be.”

In japanese it’s actually supposed to be a witty comment against the famous line “He won’t die even if he gets killed!” used in a lot of anime and manga. As everyone could see this episode, he also says this because Saber’s Scabbard is healing normally fatal wounds, hence why Shirou is wondering how he actually survived that

Another example of a bad meme. The actual line is “You really are an Archer, Archer!” Add in the sarcasm -> Rin teasing Archer.

That being said, this new famous line of “I know you are correct but that doesn’t mean you’re right!”  or something is prolly another mix of taken out of a context and being a rather not so well done translation. Pretty sure someone will correct this at some point, until then I will endure. Not that I necessarily mind people making fun of Shirou or whoever else, but people shouldn’t make a judgement or form a preconception based on just two misunderstood lines.
