Will stood right underneath the lamp, staring at it with wide eyes, slowly mouthing something. For one heartbreakingly long moment, Hopper was sure that their efforts had been to no avail, that the poor kid was still possessed by that interdimensional monster, but then he saw it.

“Voices,” Steve said, and even to his own ears, he sounded a little crazy.
“That’s the brain injury,” Billy scoffed.
“No, shut up, I mean it!” He started walking across the room, desperately trying to listen to the voices, hoping to find the source. He was dimly aware that he looked like a crazy person the way he was staggering about the living room. "There!" He could hear it clearly now. Voices in the ceiling. “Can't you hear them? HEY! HELLO! That's … It's Hopper! HOPPER!”
