ian shook his head and he flashed a very small smile that faded very fast. “hey, no. don’t be sorry. you didn’t know.” he muttered a concerned look appearing on his face as she broke into a fit of coughs. “it’s no big deal.” he said simply as he wrapped the soft material around the girl so that she would warm up. “no problem.” ian said softly watching as he took his hand into hers and he nodded. “i’m a big boy. i’ll be okay.” he teased just like she had a moment ago but there was a hint of unsureness in his sentence.
“well, i would ask if you wanted to go out--- y’know, like old times, and have a few drinks, but uh---” she coughed once more. “I’m not at my best, as you can see.” she smiled softly. oh, how she wished she could go have some fun with him. god only knows she’d have a blast, but her current (shitty) condition, prevented her from doing so. she frowned. “thanks for visiting me. I haven’t made many friends yet, so it’s just been me.” she smiled weakly, before shivering once more. “I should really lay down...” she murmured, rubbing her forehead. of all times, he had to show up when I was practically on her death bed. she didn’t want him to go just yet. the thought made her pout inwardly. maybe she could ask him to stay? would he? pushing herself off of the couch, she managed to keep her balance before turning to him. “you can stay as long as you’d like, but I understand if you don’t want to get sick... I don’t want to get you sick.” she winced slightly at the thought. “but, if you don’t care, you could come snuggle up with me in bed, and we can catch up and we can watch movies.” she cooed, “doesn’t that sound like the time of your life?” playfulness alight in her eyes.
