I made this at 3:00 am last night please appreciate and enjoy it Itâs deeply bad but I feel like I did a good job on the results. Maybe youâll learn something about the characters that could make this shitty quiz more fun. Idk.
TL;DR Deeply bad

hi i know the epilogue sucks and we all try to block it from our memory but i think we need to acknowledge the fact that w/ this line tolstoy basically just said âhey everyone, marya bolkonskaya is a lesbianâ
her face shone with a smile, but at the same time she sighed, and her profound gaze showed a quiet sadness. as if, besides the happiness she experienced, there was another happiness, unattainable in this life, which she involuntarily remembered at that moment.
why are we not reunited, as this summer in your big study on the blue couch, the couch of confidences? why can i not, as three months ago, draw new moral strength from your look?
âŞÂ jessie buckley as marya bolkonskaya and chloe pirrie as julie karagina.Â

me:Â
Just cause people tend to confuse ages heres a list of the characters and their canon ages in 1812. The oneâs with * are approximate ages cause Tolstoy didnât give us an exact number. For those wondering, this is taken from my notes.
Natasha - 20
Sonya - 22
Marya - 58
Anatole - 25*
Helene - 27*
Dolokhov - 32
Mary - 27*
Bolkonsky - 65*
Andrei - 34
Pierre - 27
âWait Pierre is only 27? Why is he called an old man then?â
Thatâs because Pierreâs dad died when he was 20 and legitimized him upon his death. That means he came into money and titles at a very young age which wasnât overly common. He was appointed chamberlain (a position which older men normally had) and eventually he retires from that position when he becomes a Mason. And he became a Mason when he was about 21.
Heâs basically a rich, eccentric and retired man living in Moscow (which was where old aristocrats would go after they retired or they were no longer involved in social circles. Take Anna Mikhailovna for example). Pierre expected more for himself in life which furthers his depressions and gives more insight to the line âI never thought that Iâd end up like this, I used to be betterâ.
And thatâs why heâs called an old man.

if ghost quartet is the october mood, hadestown is the november mood
He is witty, graceful, lovely to look at, lovable to be with. He has also ruined my life, so I canât help loving him â it is the only thing to do.
