“Hello beautiful,” Kendra smiled instantly as she saw Hope, walking over to her and Klaus to place a quick kiss upon her head. “But you,” she glanced upwards to Klaus, “not so much.” the blonde teased with a smile before returning to the groceries. “I did, and they were on offer too so I got some more.” it wasn’t as if Klaus was short on money, but buying things when they were on offer or when they were cheaper was basically Kendra’s way of life, especially with her mother. “Do I need updates on anything or are we actually having a normal day?”
“She does get her looks from her mother,” he took the tease with a smirk. Hayley had put a great deal of her focus on the wolves in the swamp leaving Klaus to care for their daughter in the Quarter. Not that he’d complain. “I would say it’s actually a normal day,” he walked over to pick up one of the boxes of crackers and open it, “Evelyn will be taking Hope down to the swamp to spend the night with her mother. I’m still not entirely welcome there.” He offered his daughter a cracker before turning to focus on Kendra, “Any chance I might actually have you for the night or does Alexandra require your assistance again?”
