"I'm truly sorry, Kol." His heart still broke when he thought about the things he'd done to his youngest sibling, the one who believed in family more than the rest. Nik wouldn't admit it, but he truly hated himself on almost every occasion because of what he did to him. "Brother... I feel as if I've lost everyone I thought I was fighting for in the beginning."

"Aren’t you the nicest thing." she said with a slight eye roll. "You’d have no choice, but to let me live Klaus." she emphasized with a slight smirk and laughed lightly.

"Only because of Elijah." He smirked in Hayley's direction. He loved bothering her, and this was going to be fun. "What makes you believe once the child is born, I don't kill you on the spot?"

      “You could’ve called,”    she feels the need to add petulantly, crossing her arms over her chest.      ”Or did you lose my number when you got the hell out of dodge?”

      She could’ve called, too, and she has oh-so-many times but hangs up on the first ring. What is she, fifteen? 

        And he has to go and say he’s missed her. Nope. Noping out of this one. (She’s missed you, too.) Nopenopenope.    ”How’ve you been?”    Getting over me, she wants to add but doesn’t. She isn’t that kind of girl anymore. (She’s trying not to be, anyway.)      ”Busy? Doing evil, dastardly things? Drawing unsuspecting blondes stallions?”

Klaus wondered how this conversation was even started. Their eyes locked, and instantly he felt like the shit boyfriend who ditched his girl at prom. "Would you have truly taken my phone calls?" He wondered out loud, knowing she wouldn't have.

"If you want the honest opinion, I've let a lot of people down my darling." His heart was broken and he truly felt defeated. "Not just you, but my family as well. I've returned to face my demons and hope that possibly, they could love me once again."                 A soft sigh left his lips, and he quickly had to hold back tears. "Aren't you the one who taught me forgiveness is everything, and I"m not saying I deserve it. But I would like it. Possibly. Or at least another shot."

"Yeah there it is again… You know I’m getting bored of being in the background Nik… I mean you pay more attention to Rebekah. Why cause she back sasses you?"

"If you have been paying enough attention, sister. Rebekah and I are at odds, and will be for quite some time. What would you like me to do though, throw a parade in your honor for returning home?"
