Cracking sounds and rusty dirt pour like lava from five antiquated doors.
When you move the first one, shrieks of terror surrounds.
It’s the door of dreary Depression.
Overthinking and panic are its parents.
Is it not the best time to shut it down?
I ask of you, my weary reader.
Shut it down before the waves enter your humble home.
Evil eyes and bifurcated tongues spit poison when you move the second door a bit.
While you touch it you hear the old gasps for darkness.
It’s the door of the damned old fear.
Overthinking and laziness gave birth to this monster.
There wasn’t a better time than now to shut it down.
Pull the blinders and shut it with all your might before its tears and crawling hands get to your throat.
The third one at first is silent and boom a siren so loud breaks when your fingers leave it.
Which one ever did cry so much, dear sailor?
It’s the battered door of the horrid temper.
Foolishness and ego are its proud parents.
Don’t you know already that its time to shut the door of anger forever?
Dust it off and shut it with the biggest sound so that the tempest demon doesn’t ever beg you for dear mercy.
Ah, then you reach for the fourth door.
It shines like gold and sounds of merry and gasping sounds of ‘more’ surrounds.
Which door gives you such a magnetic dream?
Nothing glittered like diamonds in a desert than the door of greed.
Empty mind and lust are its shy parents.
Close it down before the ugly hands reach your hearts purest place.
Haark! There goes another one down!
And the screams end but there is one door left.
Dear friend which one could it be?
It moves away when touched.
Shrouds of dark dusty shadows linger around moaning in pain that seems theatrical.
What strange creature or door could that one be?
Hairy and dirty the doorknob creaks out curses with unwanted tears.
It can only be the oldest door of them all -
the dirty door of the oldest grudges.
Shhh! Be quick! Reach out for the knob with a glove and shut it down right.
For the stinky monster of all grudges will rise again.
Shut them all up for good.
Now, you may have some peace and silence.
Sit down and get back to work!
