Vagabond - a wanderer, a rogue.
When a multiverse threat presents itself in a world full of magic and monsters, it is up to Miguel O'hara to lead his team to shut it down. However, things begin to get complicated when one of his best spider people is not only keeping a vital secret about his universe but is also in association with a Black Cat.
Black Cat was a rareĀ type of variant, something that is usually overlooked when viewing a canon from the outside- a pretty, flirty thief that clashes against Spiderman.
But some tend to forget that the Black Cat always falls for him in every universe.

Dear fanfic writers, if you are writing a character that speaks Spanish, please don't use "Miel" as a pet name. Despite being the literal translation of "Honey", we only use it to refer to the food.
Here are some options:
-CariƱo
-Corazón
-Amor
-Tesoro
-Hermoso/a
-Guapo/a
-Querido/a
-Mi rey/reina (my king/queen)
-Princesa(princess)
-Mi vida
-Mi alma
-Mi cielo
As you can see, some of them end in -o or -a, if it ends with -o it's male and if it's -a then female. Although it's not always the case since words like CariƱo and Tesoro are gender neutral, so be careful.
Venomized Miguel conceptā naming them Rapture (most likely the symbioteās ideaā referencing back to the substance that Miguel had unwillingly bonded to his DNA in his origins).
I drew inspiration from Kron/Venom 2099, for the extreme acidity and tendrils, and I wanted his fangs to read more spider-esque since his DNA is spliced with a spiderās. Basically if they bite and pump their new venom into someone, they liquify from the inside outā thatās how potent their acidic venom is now.
Still vulnerable to sonic attacks, but more resilient against electric ones since the symbiote bonded and interwove with his unstable molecular fiber suit, strengthening and acting as an insulator.
A/n: can you tell that I really like this dynamic lol? making black cat and miguel content is like cooking up a thanksgiving dinnerĀ may or may not be associated with Vagabond for reference uses
Anything that sparkled, sheād most likely take. So when it was reported that an important stone was missing in one of the highly secured labs, Miguel knew exactly who it was that took it. Needless to say, she wouldnāt even deny it either.
āI know you have it, gatita.ā
Black Cat wasnāt speaking for some reason, her eyes only looking up at Miguelās red glower as she dangled from her webbed restraints. The webs were wrapped tightly around her arms and torso, her feet barely reaching the concrete floor. Miguelās eyes glowed with intensity as they narrowed. This isnāt normal for her in comparison to the other times heād caught her stealing. She would whine about how pretty it looked, how it called for her, how she deserved it. Then, when reinforced that stealing is wrong, sheād grin. Miguelās anger didnāt seem to phase her at all, it actually emboldened her. There were several instances where he got clawed when he got too close.
āSo youāre not going to say anything to me now?ā She caught sight of his fangs when he growled- the anger was simmering.
Miguel shifted his attention from her eyes to her glossy lips; the shade would usually change for almost every encounter. He would recall how sheād smirk or stick her tongue out whenever he had failed to catch her or when she would run off into the shadows. Miguel stepped closer, the gap between them nearly closing in. It was impressive how she kept a calm face.
ā(Y/n). Iām not going to ask again.ā His voice lowered, and up close, he could see her brows furrow. Her lips began to purse inward, the corners of which began to quiver. Miguel could tell she was tensing up: her shoulders stiffened, her chest heaving, and her legs being squeezed together.
āOpen your mouth.ā He demanded. Her face paled, and Miguel knew from her widened eyes that she got caught. And of course, it would take more than a command to get her to do as he says.
Miguel placed his hand on her jaw, his fingers pressing into her soft, flushing cheeks. He began to slowly add pressure, and after a moment of her whimpering, her mouth was open. A crystalline prism was snug on her tongue, and her breaths were becoming noticeably jagged the more Miguel stared at her pathetic expression. He was almost enjoying this.
As soon as he realized what it was he really came for, he carefully picked up the gem in her mouth, stepping away from the Black Cat.
āWhat am I ever going to do with you?ā He turned his back on her, sighing as he shook his head. The sound of a snap and a heel click prompted the man to turn around again, only to see her standing freely atop his torn webbing, large steel claws retracting back to their normal size.
āI donāt know,ā Black Cat gave a stretch, the flex accentuating her curves under the fringe decorated catsuit. āMaybe take me to dinner first and give me a gift before cutting right into the chase for once? Iāll be nicer that way.ā
Miguel frowned.
āYouāre the worst date Iāve had since Iāve met you.ā She sashayed right past Miguel, her arm brushing against his. There was an animalistic urge beginning to wake within him.
Black Cat smirked, her grappling hook whirring out of her gauntlet and gripping onto one of the pipes overhead. Before Miguel could reach for her, she was pulled away, landing atop a window ledge.
āDonāt worry, Iāll come back.ā She beckoned her claws at him and giggled. āSpiders are my favorite things to play with anyway.ā
As soon as she dove out of the window, Miguel looked at the gem he picked out from her tiny mouth. His fingers had traces of the lipstick she wore.
dear non-spanish speakers writing spiderverse fanfiction (or anything with spanglish),
in spanglish you donāt switch by word, you switch by phrase.
itās not:
ā[first part of the sentence in english], [second part of the sentence in english], mi amor.ā
ā[full english sentence], querida.ā
itās:
ā[first part of the sentence in english], [segunda parte de la frase en espaƱol], mi amor.ā

also miles is boricua, miguel is mexican. they have two different accents and use different vocabulary for certain words.
also miles is ānyouricanā - a puerto rican native to new ļæ¼york - while his mom is directly from the island, so there are differences there, too, because his spanish is more influence by new york english. ļæ¼
hereās some good references that arenāt google translate (which usually pulls from spain, a country that speaks vastly differently from latin america)
SpanishDict
WordReference
here have some random videos on different slang/spanish accents:
Puerto Rico
Mexico (1) (2)

in spanish most words are gendered, so most feminine words end in a and masculine/gender neutral words end in oļæ¼. adding ito/ita makes something cuter, smaller and more affectionate.
spanish nicknames that arenāt āmi amorā
āquerido/aā - darling
ācariƱoā - dear (always masculine regardless, of who its being said to)
āmi princesa/prĆncipeā - my prince/princess
āmi rey/reinaā - my king/queen
āpapĆ/mamĆā - can be used in any way; romantic, sexual, familial for oneās parent or child, ļæ¼or just platonically
ātesoroā - treasure
also spanish is a language that uses adjectives as terms of affection ļæ¼both cute ones and ones that might sound insensitive in english
gordo (fat), flaco (skinny), negro (black), blanco (white), linda (pretty), bella (beautiful), morena (brown skin), etc.
and like most languages that are not english, spanish has multiple ways of saying i love you.
āte amoā - romantic
āte quieroā - familial, platonic (although thereās nothing wrong with using it romantically)
see also:
te adoro - i adore you
te deseo - i want you
te necesito - i need you
and, of course, they can vary regionally too.
please use this because i have read a lot of really well written things that take me out of it because the use of spanglish is terrible. donāt just go on your presumptions that spanish/spanglish works in the same way that english does.
yes one of the references im using for vagabond is the Black Cat from spiderman TAS lmao the way she tries so hard not to steal when being around spiderman while also being openly affectionate and teasing
šš the way she fucking kicks spiderman and he falls off the roof and goes "you're it LMAO" before getting her 2918373782th chase in by her crush
