Don't think about the mischievous glint in the old man's eye whenever he decides to join in on story time. Don't think about the warmth of family, the soft breeze of a place you can call home.

Don't think about the latest bag of rupees you won from a bet with the captain or the way elation lit his face at the use of your fire rod. A man in uniform you can trust.

Don't think about about the warmth buzzing under your chest as the resident sleepyhead pressed his most treasured companion in your hands. Don't think about how the blade greeted you like an old friend or the start of an eternal legacy fluttering in the wind.

Don't think about the hopping stone statues and careful movements of the rancher. Don't think about two dark forms, curled against each other despite their differences.

Don't think about stern words in the heat of creation or the passion dripping from the smithy's eyes. Don't think about him as something you thought you would never see again.

Don't think about the crooked eyebrows and flailing limbs. The sailor always had a knack for storytelling, so ignore the way wind twirls around his locks. Don't think about the sea.

Don't think about the wooden bowl filled with warm soup after a day of trudging through the rain. Don't think about scars that stretch the body or vacant houses now touched with life anew.

Don't think about shattering pots and delighted laughter in darkness. Don't think about how the traveler pokes at your attitude. Don't think about the legacy you will leave behind.

Don't think... don't wonder... just how much time do you have left with them?

I unfortunately got afflicted with this horrible sickness called The FeelsTM and spend the last week working on this piece. Whenever I scroll through ao3 for fanfics and I bump into those post-lu fics I get so so so sad (actually I don't even need to scroll through ao3 for that to happen it just randomly ambushes me).

Everyone forgets about the fireshield earrings!

Probably a stretch to say they'd canonically prevent at least mild pain in a campfire, but they absolutely do extinguish Sky/Link any time he catches fire in his game. Which is more often than you'd think >u< (for the purposes of the comic this is a completely pain-free prank for Sky lol)

So I was not kidding when i said i cant stop thinking about napping zoras

edit: wait let me add some context below the cut because i have Feelings abt Them

1. Sidon&Link - Link does not care about his sleeping arrangements much and is also very comfortable with Sidon, so he just lets him do whatever. Sidon meanwhile is kinda touch starved (zora are naturally very touchy but him being royalty means he doesnt get much of that) so he's making the most he can off the opportunity.

2. Bazz&Sidon (teens) - the point about Sidon stands here also, hes absolutely going to cuddle nap with his friend if he can. Also they're just tired kids!!

3. Rivan&Bazz - Rivan has no shame most of the time and initiates the cuddle piles. When its just them two though, Bazz feels its more proper to keep a lil bit of respectful distance. He does enjoy Rivan naps a lot though.

4. Bazz&His Desk - probably thr most commonly occuring combo from this list. It just happens. Rivan is leaving them be for now, but will intervene eventually.

5. Bazz&Gaddison - they're extremely casually comfortable with each other, and with her theres no such thing as respectful distance. Bazz will just see her lounging around and join in by flopping on top with no explanation. She just accepts and then just shoves him off whenever she wants to get up.
