I’ve done a compalition YEAERS ago...in like 2015, and originally had IV parts but I’ve deleted the previous blog(s) and didn’t have it saved on harddrive anymore. Others reblogged the previous 3 parts, so I could re-reblog them to this blog but this image couldn’t be found anywhere, so...I’ve finally done it.
love how it’s become completely normal and acceptable to say explicitly sexual shit to random strangers on the internet, especially if they’re women. girl on tiktok has more than a b cup? top comments on anything she posts are automatically “mommy sorry mommy sorry”. woman on the internet is pretty and also feminine? “submissive and breedable” like that’s not the exact kind of gross, infantilizing shit women hear irl every single day. i constantly see comments on teenagers’ posts saying “hey don’t sexualize her she’s a minor” like it’s not weird or misogynistic to talk about a stranger’s “mommy milkers” online so long as she’s 18 or older. fuck. maybe i’m a prude but i just don’t think you should get to make gross objectifying comments at random strangers just because you think the veneer of a mom fetish makes it #coolquirkyandprogressive instead of just creepy
and this is one of those cases where i absolutely agree with the “well it happens to men too” addition. bc it’s not subversive or feminist to spam random men with “looking submissive and breedable” or pegging jokes or whatever brand of sexual harassment is cool now. it’s just gross.
there’s an interesting irony how big parts of tumblr social justice is allegedly concerned with fighting oppression, racism and imperialism. yet, much of the social justice discourse here is actually pretty much a cesspool of US (cultural) imperialism. it even kind of mirrors US foreign policy because people speak over others and impose US constructs on non-US issues all the time because they think they know best and must save us from ourselves or something.

that story is total bullshit and has no source. not one interview with mark bryan mentions this supposed workplace harassment situation. he literally just started wearing skirts and heels because he likes them, its not that deep.

He actually stated in this interview (2020 in the Süddeutsche Zeitung) that he began wearing high heels because he got bored of wearing suits/ formal clothing.
He said that a friend commented on his legs which would look great in skirts so he decided to give it a try. That’s the whole story.

I also headcanon that Winter doesn’t care much about her birthday celebration, while Qrow cares a lot about such things because of Summer (she practically introduced the twins to the concept, so it is an important memory), his nieces (he never misses theirs) and his inability to be around people he loves (semblance and work).

Okay, but I've seen this argument thrown around for years, and I never believed it because it's been pushed into my brain since I was a child by my extremely Christian parents that abortion is fundamentally evil because it goes against the Bible. But I'm taking a 2nd Wave Feminism course and I finally found out that this is actually 100% true? Until the Reagan campaign and associated Republican politicians tried to find another social issue to sway Southerners, especially Southern women, in their favor, abortion was not a primary issue for churches. It was only when feminists started mobilizing and, as a result, many institutions such as the Catholic church tried to mobilize against them that churches started advocating against abortion. Abortion did not become an issue of morality for the right until the 70s. Before then, abortion was simply not discussed because most things relating to sex weren't publicly discussed. So no, according to popular belief, the argument that abortions are killing babies did not always exist, it was just an argument crafted when the Republican party needed another social group to oppress for political points

For the record, the CONCEPT of "life beginning at conception" only exists because of the microscope and the discovery of what zygotes looked like. Prior to, oh, around the 17th century, everyone thought that life either began at birth (which is Biblical) or at the "quickening", aka the first time the parent feels the fetus moves (which is Hellenic). The fetus moves before that point, but the parent can't feel it. Fetuses before these stages weren't considered alive and often it wasn't considered an abortion if a pregnancy was ended intentionally, before these landmarks.
