Uhh hi. My name is Nine, and I like inventing things... I live on my own and I'm awful at interaction. But I'm willing to try... Which is why I set this up. The others in New Yoke visit and they told me about this thing so.. Here I am.

… Hello, Nine. Sonic mentioned that you managed to reach out to him, and it’s good to know that the shatterworlds still exist.
As for what happened with the prism… I suppose i’m not mad anymore. You helped us get home in the end… and you did what you could to make sure Sonic was prepared for it. Just don’t cause any problems for me or Sonic.
And, actually, is there anything new with the Chaos Counsel? Have they made any new effort to find the Paradox Prism?
"Well, I'm glad you're not mad anymore. I swear I won't cause anymore trouble for the two of you."
"As for the Council, they haven't made any huge moves yet as far as I'm aware... Renegade usually keeps me updated on the stuff going on in the city, so far they're kinda just... Sat in their HQ with no real movement going on. But if anything changes, I could let you both know? I dunno if you'd wanna come back though after... Everything."

Some kind of portal opens up high above the city, then some kind of cyan... comet? Comes out of it. If one were to squint, the "comet" is actually... a hedgehog?
Whatever it is, it crashes into one of the dumpsters nearby.
((These two never interacted in canon, so I want to see how it could possibly play out if they ever meet.))
"What on earth-"
*Nine was just making his rounds outside for recon stuff to make sure the Council weren't going around in person as they'd been applying a lot of new but stupid 'curfew' rules. One of such being that they'd be patrolling at night and he was just trying to catch their patterns. That was until he saw the commotion. Ohhh he really shouldn't go over to where it landed, but if whatever - or whoever - it was could help him, maybe it'd be beneficial. Rushing over as carefully as he could he found the dumpster and saw a hand... And he grabbed onto it to drag them out.*
What Nine dragged out was a hedgehog, a silvery white hedgehog. He appeared to be roughed up, like he just got out of a rough battle, and seemed to be in a daze if his groaning wasn't enough of an indicator.
As soon he was plopped onto the ground, some kind of shiny yellow hexagonal gemstone dropped from his person. Judging by the glow it was giving off, it held some kind of power, but at the moment, it wasn't that important.
Silver groaned as he began to wake up. His vision was blurry, but he could make out that the figure next to him was Tails, or at least thought was Tails. "Tails..? Is that you? Where am I?"
*As he squinted his eyes to look them over, he panicked and ended up on the defensive when he started stirring. His mechanical tails spread out like they always did when feeling like he would be potentially threatened. And that NAME again... Sonic had mistaken him for that before when first meeting him, too. What WAS it with everyone comparing or mistaking him for this 'Tails' guy?! It was frustrating! He was his own person for crying out loud.*
"My name is NOT Tails! It's Nine!"
Being met with aggression sobered the hedgehog up quickly. Silver started glowing, then hovered into the air. "Well so-rry for the mistaken identity!"
He held a glowing hand out to psychically hold the Tails look-a-like - Nine - in place. "Don't even try anything." Silver told sternly. If this fox didn't look like someone he knew, he would've launched him away.
"Now answer my question! Where am I?! Did you bring me here?!"
"Why would I?! I live in solitude, I don’t necessarily LIKE other people."
*He sighed heavily, his glare shifting into a more annoyed expression as he couldn’t move. It was triggering something in him but he wasn’t going to make that known to this... Strange hedgehog that showed up out of nowhere. He was no Sonic so he wasn't going to trust him. At least not yet... Buuut might as well let him know where he was.*
"You're in New Yoke City. Built by the Chaos Council, and they call the shots around here. Is that sufficient enough?"
"New... Yoke City? You mean New York City, right?" Silver stared at the kit, thinking he mis-said something, but no, Nine was serious. Now onto the other thing he mentioned.
"The "Chaos Council"? Never heard of them. You wouldn't happen to be a part of the Chaos Council, are you?"
"I would rather drop dead that work with those idiots. They're nothing but a stain on this whole place... Disgusting, honestly. I want nothing to do with anyone here."
*He wanted to retreat to his lab so badly. He was only meant to be out here for recon patrol, but now that he was in this situation... How was he going to get out of this?*
"Look. If you let me go... I can take you to my lab and figure things out."
*Not like he would agree to do this normally but... He'd do anything to get out of this predicament.*
Okay, from the way Nine speaks of the Chaos Council, Silver can glean that they are definitely not good guys. "So they're not good guys, noted."
He narrows his eyes at the kit's offer. "What makes you think I can trust you after you looked like you wanted to stab me with those... robotic tails, when I called you the wrong name?"
*He rolled his eyes, obviously needing to get on his decent side. Did... He even HAVE a decent side? Hard to tell since the only actions he had witnessed were him falling from the sky and now... Well, this.*
"I'm not exactly a people person. I live by myself in isolation where no one will find or bother me, so it's just a reflex I get. Plus, I just hate being called that name..."
""Not a people person." I could glean that much." This guy is definitely opposite of the Tails he's familiar with.
After glaring at the kit some more, Silver lets him out of his psychic hold and hovers back down. "I'll let you go, but only because you look like someone I know. Don't pull any funny business. Now, bring me back to this lab you said you have." He asked - no, demanded, of the other without so much as a please.
"Yeah, yeah. Just try not to get seen by any patrollers. No one's meant to be out at this time."
*Finally out of the hold, the shorter fox ended up stretching his arms, only now noticing the weird yellow hexagonal gem next to them. He was... Honestly more interested in that now than whatever else was going on. Of course, he'd still help, but only so he didn't get tossed to the Council. AGAIN.*
"What... Is that?"
There's a curfew?? Geez, Silver may not have met the Chaos Council, but they sure sound like real control freaks if they enact strict rules like curfews and have these "Patrollers" enforcing them.
"Huh? What is what?" Silver looks to where Nine was looking to find his Time Stone. His eyes widened a bit before he quickly levitated it to himself before the kit could pick it up.
"It's- Uh. It's a good luck charm." He didn't trust Nine enough to tell him exactly what the Time Stone is, so he hoped telling him it was a good luck charm would be good enough, but his clear hesitation on telling the other what exactly the gem is would make one suspicious.
"Anyway, your lab. Are we gonna go or what?" Silver questioned the fox as he stored his Time Stone away.
*And he WAS suspicious of it. The behaviour and tone were a clear indicator to him that he was hiding something. Which was fine, he'll get it out of him sooner or later. How? He wasn’t sure yet but staying in potential good graces might give him a better chance. His mechanical legs all spread out again, lifting his tiny form off the ground and carried him over to a metal pipe in the wall, opening the cover of it while looking at the other to follow. He barely knew the guy and was already taking him to his lab. What was wrong with him?! Maybe Sonic's influence rubbed off on him more than he initially thought.*
"This is the way there that's most hidden. But if you don't trust it, you can try to find your own way there and... Get caught and potentially arrested. Your choice."
Those robotic tails are gonna take some getting used to.
"Psh, even if they do catch me, no way they could contain me." Silver gave the other a cocky grin as he lifted up a glowing hand. "You saw firsthand what I could do."
Though maybe he should rest a bit before getting into another fight so soon, so in the pipe he went. He's going to be sticking around Nine for a bit, so may as well try striking up a conversation.
"So, uh, Nine, you're a tech genius, right?" Duh, of course he is. He said he has a lab and probably built those tails himself. Different question.
"Is it a coincidence you look like Tai- this kid I know?" Silver corrected so Nine didn't lash out again. "Or did I somehow wind up getting sucked into an alternate timeline?"
*He was about to lash out at him again before he ended up hearing him correct himself. Did this guy have to be so... Pushy with his questioning?*
"Well according to... Someone I know, apparently the one called 'Tails' is an alternate version of me. I don’t really care enough to look into it, we're not the same and that's all that matters."
*Rolling his eyes, he continued down the pipe-tunnel while thinking to himself. He wasn’t going to mention Sonic by name, he had no clue if this guy knew him and he wasn’t taking that risk.*
"So I'm in an alternate timeline. Guess that makes sense. You may look like him, but you don't act like him."
When Nine mentioned that he was told by someone that Tails is an alternate version of him, it wasn't that hard for Silver to figure out who that Someone is.
"That Someone wouldn't happen to be Sonic, would it?"
*Nine briefly stopped moving, slowly turning around to look at the other behind him. So he DID know him! Well, now he felt guilty for threatening him earlier. Only a tiny bit, though. He still wasn't going to get over being held in place, however.*
"Yeah... Yeah it is. How do you know him?"
*Suddenly all his anger and bitterness snapped away in an instant at the mention of his best friend - his ONLY friend - and was curious to know all the details. And for once, it wasn't for any strange of weird reasons.*
"The real question is how do I not know him? The guy is a disaster magnet." Silver chuckles. "He can be annoying sometimes, but he's a good rival and friend of mine."
How Nine mentioned Sonic - Silver's timeline Sonic - and not mention a Sonic from his own timeline does beg a question... "I do have to ask. If you know the Sonic from my timeline, and this is a timeline that's different from my own, where's this timeline's Sonic? Shouldn't there be one?"
If there's an alternate version of Tails, then there should be an alternate version of Sonic too, right?
*Hearing the question about if there was another Sonic here, hus ears drooped down in sadness. He WISHED there was another him here so he wouldn’t be so... Well, him. But the world wasn't like that for him. And it never will be.*
"No. There's no other version of him here. And sometimes I don't know if that's a good or bad thing."
*Good because he wouldn’t have to deal with the absolute disaster this place had turned put to be. Bad because... Well, because he was essentially alone.*
"There's no Sonic in this timeline..?" That does explain a few things, like how Nine is, well, Nine, and how New Yoke looks like a dump.
Speaking of Nine, the kit mentioned that he didn't like other people, yet he seemed to light up when Silver guessed he was talking about Sonic. He must be pretty fond of him, which Silver doesn't find too surprising that Sonic's bond for Tails can transcend timelines.
"The lack of a Sonic does explain a lot. If this timeline did have one, he wouldn't let a bunch of tyrants run a garbage city like this." Kind of funny coming from a guy that was found in a dumpster. "The cities from when I'm from look a lot better than this one."
Since Silver is here... "Maybe I could help take down the Chaos Council."
*He stopped in his tracks again, looking back at him again like he had lost his mind. He wanted to help? Not even Sonic was able to deal with them! How was HE going to be able to? To be fair, his abilities did seem useful... Hm. He'd have to think on it.*
"You really want to help? I'm not going to say it isn't dangerous or anything because it is. They may be stupid amongst themselves, but against us they're practically invincible."

There's a curfew?? Geez, Silver may not have met the Chaos Council, but they sure sound like real control freaks if they enact strict rules like curfews and have these "Patrollers" enforcing them.

"It's- Uh. It's a good luck charm." He didn't trust Nine enough to tell him exactly what the Time Stone is, so he hoped telling him it was a good luck charm would be good enough, but his clear hesitation on telling the other what exactly the gem is would make one suspicious.
"Anyway, your lab. Are we gonna go or what?" Silver questioned the fox as he stored his Time Stone away.
*And he WAS suspicious of it. The behaviour and tone were a clear indicator to him that he was hiding something. Which was fine, he'll get it out of him sooner or later. How? He wasn’t sure yet but staying in potential good graces might give him a better chance. His mechanical legs all spread out again, lifting his tiny form off the ground and carried him over to a metal pipe in the wall, opening the cover of it while looking at the other to follow. He barely knew the guy and was already taking him to his lab. What was wrong with him?! Maybe Sonic's influence rubbed off on him more than he initially thought.*
"This is the way there that's most hidden. But if you don't trust it, you can try to find your own way there and... Get caught and potentially arrested. Your choice."

Ohhh he really shouldn't go over to where it landed, but if whatever - or whoever - it was could help him, maybe it'd be beneficial. Rushing over as carefully as he could he found the dumpster and saw a hand... And he grabbed onto it to drag them out.*
What Nine dragged out was a hedgehog, a silvery white hedgehog. He appeared to be roughed up, like he just got out of a rough battle, and seemed to be in a daze if his groaning wasn't enough of an indicator.
As soon he was plopped onto the ground, some kind of shiny yellow hexagonal gemstone dropped from his person. Judging by the glow it was giving off, it held some kind of power, but at the moment, it wasn't that important.
Silver groaned as he began to wake up. His vision was blurry, but he could make out that the figure next to him was Tails, or at least thought was Tails. "Tails..? Is that you? Where am I?"
*As he squinted his eyes to look them over, he panicked and ended up on the defensive when he started stirring. His mechanical tails spread out like they always did when feeling like he would be potentially threatened. And that NAME again... Sonic had mistaken him for that before when first meeting him, too. What WAS it with everyone comparing or mistaking him for this 'Tails' guy?! It was frustrating! He was his own person for crying out loud.*
"My name is NOT Tails! It's Nine!"
Being met with aggression sobered the hedgehog up quickly. Silver started glowing, then hovered into the air. "Well so-rry for the mistaken identity!"
He held a glowing hand out to psychically hold the Tails look-a-like - Nine - in place. "Don't even try anything." Silver told sternly. If this fox didn't look like someone he knew, he would've launched him away.
"Now answer my question! Where am I?! Did you bring me here?!"
"Why would I?! I live in solitude, I don’t necessarily LIKE other people."
*He sighed heavily, his glare shifting into a more annoyed expression as he couldn’t move. It was triggering something in him but he wasn’t going to make that known to this... Strange hedgehog that showed up out of nowhere. He was no Sonic so he wasn't going to trust him. At least not yet... Buuut might as well let him know where he was.*
"You're in New Yoke City. Built by the Chaos Council, and they call the shots around here. Is that sufficient enough?"
"New... Yoke City? You mean New York City, right?" Silver stared at the kit, thinking he mis-said something, but no, Nine was serious. Now onto the other thing he mentioned.
"The "Chaos Council"? Never heard of them. You wouldn't happen to be a part of the Chaos Council, are you?"
"I would rather drop dead that work with those idiots. They're nothing but a stain on this whole place... Disgusting, honestly. I want nothing to do with anyone here."
*He wanted to retreat to his lab so badly. He was only meant to be out here for recon patrol, but now that he was in this situation... How was he going to get out of this?*
"Look. If you let me go... I can take you to my lab and figure things out."
*Not like he would agree to do this normally but... He'd do anything to get out of this predicament.*
Okay, from the way Nine speaks of the Chaos Council, Silver can glean that they are definitely not good guys. "So they're not good guys, noted."
He narrows his eyes at the kit's offer. "What makes you think I can trust you after you looked like you wanted to stab me with those... robotic tails, when I called you the wrong name?"
*He rolled his eyes, obviously needing to get on his decent side. Did... He even HAVE a decent side? Hard to tell since the only actions he had witnessed were him falling from the sky and now... Well, this.*
"I'm not exactly a people person. I live by myself in isolation where no one will find or bother me, so it's just a reflex I get. Plus, I just hate being called that name..."

Some kind of portal opens up high above the city, then some kind of cyan... comet? Comes out of it. If one were to squint, the "comet" is actually... a hedgehog?
Whatever it is, it crashes into one of the dumpsters nearby.
((These two never interacted in canon, so I want to see how it could possibly play out if they ever meet.))
