winter event (open) || kou & ???
While Kou planned to just gloss over the whole episode like it never even happened, that was no longer an option. It couldn’t be helped. For somebody so observant, Ririchiyo seemed awfully young; was she even in high school?!
"Is that so? Looks like we have something in common already," That wouldn’t stop him from going out, however. The possibility, however small, however fleeting, of finding something worthwhile was too good to pass up. Their time here was limited, and opportunity on their doorstep; who knew when Monobear would be so kind to supervise them on another field trip?
So it seemed it was his turn to be observed. Her gaze fell on him, searching, scrutinizing. What was she looking for? What was she thinking? His right eye tempted him so, but he would hold back for now. Guessing was half of the fun, after all.
A smile crept on his lips at her apparent concern; if Kou was offended by her harsh judgement, he made no indication as such. His acquaintance was not one to mince words, that’s for sure.
"So harsh.. Are you worried about me?"
Without warning his face turned grave.
"Or.." he leaned to her level, voice dangerously low, "are you the one plotting something?"
..
"Just kidding! Haaa, you should see the look on your face! ..Mm, It’s actually kind of cute."
It was an entertaining thought at least. God have mercy on the poor sap who’d be foolish enough to waltz into a vampire’s lair uninvited. He certainly wouldn’t.
"Disliking the cold is commonplace. Do not put one such as yourself in league with me. I would never have anything in common with someone like you." Her violet gaze never left his own as she spoke. Instead, Ririchiyo watched him as if trying to challenge him to tell her she was wrong. It was a look that might have remained strong had it not been for the fact that the tiny teen was beginning to shiver. Even the hallway was much too cold for her. What an annoyance. She'd lost too much time trying to find out where the library in this place was.
A smirk pulled at her lips as he asked if she was worried for him. "I do not worry about idiots. It is merely a waste of time." Not even the smallest of indignant expressions passed onto her face as he suggested that she could be the one plotting something dangerous. "If I cared enough about the people here or about getting out, perhaps I would plot something. As it is, this school is full of idiots." Oh, he was kidding? Well then. "And you seem to be the biggest idiot of them all."
Cute? He thought she was cute? That felt familiar again. Hadn't a boy with eyes like his own said something like that? For a moment, Ririchiyo looked surprised again. Someone had said something like that to her. So why couldn't she remember that? It took a second or two for the female to regain that mask that she'd perfected. "I was not making any sort of face." Once more, her gaze met his own evenly. There was something strange about him. She could feel it. It had been the same feeling she'd had back in...where was it? Something strange. Was he like her, then?
"You will have to fix your door. Do you know how?" Strange. This whole situation was strange.
