TO LOVE IS TO WILL THE GOOD OF ANOTHER

This past Sunday, we talked about Love. Love can be defined in many different ways. To will the good of another is the best way it can be described. Movies show us that love is defined with a relationship, dates, sex, kissing but that is passion and emotions. When you look at the altar of a Catholic Church, you see Jesus on the Cross. He died to will the good of another, He died so we can live a life in Heaven for eternity. To will the good of another is to lead another to Heaven, paradise. It isn’t about what you get out of love, it is what you give for love. Ultimately, leading someone to God is the true love we should all strive for. When you enter a relationship with someone, the end goal of that relationship is marriage with Christ as the center of your relationship.

For a while, I really thought we would be together and we would make it somewhere. As a team, as a unit, but no. You must be an extraordinary liar because you told me he treated you wrong, he was abusive and now you're back with him. I introduced you to my mom, my sisters who I trusted, everyone I cared about. It's just amazing that you told me not to talk to other girls and I didn't, I remain loyal but you ended up being a hypocrite. You went back to him. What an amazing turn of events!

Love

Let's take a moment and understand that word. It's probably the most underused and overused word in the dictionary. No one really knows what it means or how to correctly express it. Love can be between a human and another human or an animal or an object(s) What I really hate is when it's said and then they give you excuses saying "I love you but.." It's either you do or you don't, there's no in the middle. I'm tired of hearing it and knowing it will all fall apart from this fake love. Love is unconditional and unless it is unconditional then it's not real. That my friend, is called lust.

The one that got away.

These past 6 months were great, we got to know more about each other each day. I enjoyed every single moment I got to spend with you. Now, we have to part ways and it sucks because I know this isn’t what we wanted but it’s something that has to happen so we can grow(apart) I will always care for you and I will always love you but there’s no good time like the present to move forward. I truly love you with all my heart and no one can take that place in my heart away from you. I just wished there was an easier way to let you go but there isn’t, which is how I know this is the truest and realest love I’ve been in.

I understand everything you are going through and having to decide between two people and becoming a nun. Decisions are hard to make especially when they can be life-changing. I realize that I was never your first choice nor were you ever in Love with me. That’s okay, I accept that. I hope this guy makes you happy and sees you for the beautiful woman you are. If you choose to become a nun, I will love you even more than I do now because you chose to be with God. I will love you no matter what decision you make, even if it’s not with me. That’s why this one really hurts above all the rest. There was God’s love and faith along with our own. I can’t imagine what I’ll do now without you being on the other side of the computer, waiting for you to go online or waiting for us to pray and put you to sleep on the phone. Long distance relationships are hard and I understand the pain of not being able to connect with each other on a physical level. I believe and trust in God’s plan and I hope he crosses our paths once again. If He doesn’t, I’ll accept that too. I hope you are happy with all the decisions you make. I’ll be praying for you always.
