Hi! I discovered your comic on Tapas recently and it's really fascinating. It inspired me to look for your journals and read your process. You really put your heart into it and I admire you so much. The thing is, I also like drawing and want to draw comic as well. There are a few questions I hope you can help me clear up:

Where do you get your ideas? How do you choose/arrange them?

How to speed up drawing process? I mean, there are so many details in a single page. It took me more than one hour just to line/inking them. Not to mention sketch them first.

What should I do to make the story fluently?

Thank you very much. I'm flattered. It's nice to meet someone have the same hobby as you. For your questions, I'll just share things based on my experiences as a self-taught comic artist and hope it helps you:

My ideas can appear randomly based on the things in my life, what I see or read, what/who I interact with. The choosing/arranging process is actually a difficult part because there are so many ideas but I can’t pick them all and throw in a plot. I have to consider the logic in those ideas, whether they fit together, support each other or creating conflicts. If there are conflicts, the next thing you should do is think of a solution for it. If you can't, you have to scratch that idea and create something new. But before completely throwing it into the trashcan, you can put the unused ideas aside for later use. You don't know when it might come handy.

Yes, drawing comic can takes a lot of time. I suggest you should keep drawing regularly to practice your speed and your artistic thoughts. Besides, 3D tools are really helpful if you have a problem with perspective or difficult poses. If you draw digitally, available pattern/texture brushes can also help speed up the process.

Well, carefully choosing ideas for the plot is part of making the story fluently. I advice you to write out the whole plots in word before you start drawing. At least, a few chapters in advance, so you know what to fix later if you spot any illogical mistake. If you have time and finance, I suggest taking a script writing course where they teach you how to write a basic script for a story. Besides, reading books or comic books which have the same genre you are writing also helps building a good story.

I read your comic. The story is absolutely amazing with those plots and arts! There's one thing I'm curious. Have you ever thought of a Fell version of Summontale before? If so, what the story would be?

Thank you for compliment. As your question, yes, I thought about that several times, but just moments of creative mood (I'm a comic creator anyway). The story would be about Frisk’s journey finding herself again as she is emotionless and lifeless, and was turned into a sacrifice for both humans and monsters. The general idea was pretty much that's it.

Which do you like more? Classic Frans or Fell Frans or Swap Frans or Crossover Frans?

I'm not really into any specific Frans version. However, not all Frans I like. I would require a story of them to understand more their dynamic and romantic chemistry. Sometimes visual art only isn't enough to get me that interested in the couple.
